  1. Frank, your thought was random enough. I give it a solid B+.

My random thought for the day : I’m beginning to think it won’t matter who we elect for President. It’s the damn Congress that has passed all these damn laws for 100 years. Our situation is damn near intractable. (Was that three ‘damns?’)

But seriously, I like my wieners fresh and uncured. And I like my oysters raw – on the half shell – with a bit of cõcktail sauce. You know, oyster shooters.

  2. No, no, a Twin Peaks observation belongs in a Random Thoughts post at least as much as the usual items do. I gave the show a go when it was on the air, until I realized that Lynch was either a mad genius or was just making it up as he went without knowing where he was going or what any of it meant… and discovered that it was the latter. Looks like J. J. Abrams but is really just stream of consciousness on acid.

  3. Somewhat random thought: GM CEO Akerson wants the feds to slap a $1/gallon tax on gasoline. Methinks he has stumbled upon a strategy that could work for other businesses:

    – Coffee maker makers ask for tax on coffee
    – Swimming pool installers demand tax on water
    – Handgun manufacturers hold out for $1/round tax on firearm cartridges
    – Liberal politicians mull tax for each asinine comment made by an elected official
    – Burmashave seeks tax on IMAO comments
    – Joe Schmo hopes in vain for $.05 per bottle rocket deposit
    – Obama considers tax bracket based on ear size
    – Damncat proposes tax on tuna

When government owns the businesses, all your money are belong to us. You have no chance to survive. Make your time. Ha. Ha. Ha.

  4. that’s a damn fine cup of coffee!

I just watched the entire series ( 2 seasons) in the last month or so, streaming from a divx site, and the “fire, walk with me movie”.

Loved it! Wish there was a show that was comparable to it on now.
