Valour-IT

Posted on October 30, 2010 12:19 pm

It’s time once again for the Valour-IT fundraiser. The idea is to get tech to help wounded troops (such as voice controlled laptops) which does seem like about the least we can do. It’s a competition between the branches, and I’m on team Jacob Marines. They kill the most people and my brother is one.

So please give generously.

I don’t mind donating for programs to help troops, but this one is not for me.
I help a blind lady that was using the Dragon software for her computer, and it’s downright horrible. It’s better than nothing for blind people, but for people that can still see but are lacking limbs or mobility, the built in voice functions in Vista and 7 is MUCH better than Dragon.
    That’s just my opinion though.

    You’re in luck!
I got 2 paychecks this week, I haven’t paid any bills yet, I’ve been drinking, and I’m feeling generous.
    This one is for Buttercup!

Horrible timing. They couldn’t have waited to start this until a week or two AFTER the election? Have they ever heard of donor burnout?
