Forgery!
This has even made Drudge now.
Politics is just getting wackier by the day.
UPDATE: Just got home and turned on FOX News, and they’re talking about how these documents from CBS (who has yet to respond) look forged. Referred to this being the buzz on the internet. Yay blogosphere!
UPDATE2: John Hawkins has found another memo – super authentic!
Scott Ott (Damn you, Scrappleface!) reports on more evidence of Bush being AWOL.

  1. First, and OT new virus out this week folks. I it’s snazy one, it emulates a person on your e-mail list. I all ready have one or two from Imao (frank stop sending me the damn things LOL), and a one from the Rott. If you really want to open them, find the nearest linux/mac and open it other wise don’t open it boys and girls. BTW any one on the lower slower shore of Maryland who gets a virus, come visit me, mention this sight and I will cut you a break on the repair.

  2. You would think they’d have at least a clue to use an old typewriter, geez! Didn’t these morons ever fake an ID to get into a bar during their teens? Anyone as stooopid as them deserves to get hammered. You’d think that old flip flop himself would have lent them his Viet Nam typewriter…

  3. I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: ‘O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.’ And God granted it.

Seems to apply here. And thank God for it too, think how much damage these people could cause if they weren’t idiots.

  4. And hey, let’s not overlook how coincidental it is that this military records story is happening at the exact same time as the buzz about the Kitty Kelley “drug addict” book…and immediately following the unexpectedly large Bush post-convention bounce.
My question is: what kind of crap is Kerry holding on to until October 31? He has to know that in our blogoworld, any ludicrous claims can be debunked in a day and told to the world by the next. That means he has to fire both barrels late night on the Sunday before voting begins (just in time for a special episode of 60 Minutes?).
    BE PREPARED!

  5. Oh…BTW, forging a government document is a felony, and a rather serious one at that.
If I had a hand in it, during tomorrow’s press briefing, I’d demand CBS surrender the identity of the document supplier or…I’d yank the Press passes of all CBS correspondents until they do. To be generous, I’d give them until the end of the business day to comply.
    TICKTICKTICKTICKTICK….
P.S.-you know it’s getting bad when current events start morphing into an IMW episode…

  6. What I found extremely amusing is that when I mentioned that these documents were forged, here’s the first comment that was made (by a liberal, of course)…
*Joe wonders if the GOP was underhanded to pull that stunt.
There are just some liberals that you can’t reason with.

  7. Long day…just got in and have been reading about the ‘forgery’. I was in the Texas Air National Guard (the 147th, to be exact), and worked in the Clinic. Even w/o all the “font” issues, I could have told you it was a forgery. That is simply NOT how those memos are written/handled. Looks like someone with NO military medical experience tried to copy from some other memo, trying to make it ‘sound’ real….don’t those idiots realize there is military jargon for every situation, and this one didn’t come close.

  8. As a AF brat of 19 yrs and Navy enlisted for over four, I can assure that no memo or any other military document looked even close to that until at least the early 1990’s.
Also lol @ Bob in Feenicks for the Gettysburg Address joke.

  9. I’m shocked and disappointed. I expect so much better in a 2-party system.
What’s the next discovery?? A beta-max recording of Bush jet-skiing with Lee Harvey Oswald? Phone records from a 1972 text message Bush sent to Rove’s Blackberry?: OMG!!! I H8 DEMS 2!!! WE SHD GT 2GTHR N GT HI! LOL!!!
My tax dollars DEMAND better forgeries.
