Cancer is always serious, but not always tragic.
I was diagnosed with cancer in 2005, and I was sick as hell for some months, but I’m fine now. The tumor was on my tonsil and some lymph nodes, and I had mild chemo and 30 bouts of radiation and then surgery. Now I have an impressive scar on my neck, and my salivary glands were mostly zapped so I’m sipping water all the time, but other than that, I’m very happy to be alive. I feel fine, strong.
Support from friends and family is vital.
Done. Tim’s was one of the first pundit blogs I ever read.
It hits home. May God lead his spirit and mortal in health.
