Ten Years Ago

Doesn’t seem like there’s much left to say, yet it seems like I should say something. This is a great country, founded on ideals worth fighting for. And we’ll constantly have to fight for them in times of peace and in times of war, and it will never be easy. But it’s worth it.

God bless.

  1. Pathetic narcissist Paul Krugman chose the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks to spew liberal crap in the New York Times, actually attacking Giuliani and Pres. Bush. And he, of all people – one of the most divisive spewers of hate, who has politicized every aspect of 9/11 and the war against Islamic terrorists – has the unmitigated gall to state the following about Rudy and GW Bush: “Te (sic) atrocity should have been a unifying event, but instead it became a wedge issue.” Apparently Krugman has no mirrors in his house.

And, of course, being the liberal coward that he is, he ends his online column with, “I’m not going to allow comments on this post, for obvious reasons.” I’m curious, why Krugman believes we should think the reasons for not allowing people to respond to his childish and vitriolic liberal political rant are “obvious.”

  2. Krugman, pseudo-intellectual Tommy Freidman and their ilk can afford to cheer on progressive statism. If this country becomes a turd world hellhole they’ll still be fine behind the walls of their gated community.

Stupid blatherings are to be expected from people disconnected from the real world.

  3. Frank, the single best comment anywhere from anyone today. I have other things to say, but today is too hallowed for such things. Somw badly needed hippie punching can come later.God bless America.

  4. Thank you Frank

Verse 3 from the Star Spangled Banner:

O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
    Between their lov’d homes and the war’s desolation;
Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the heav’n-rescued land
Praise the Pow’r that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

  5. “Until the millennium arrives and countries cease trying to enslave others, it will be necessary to accept one’s responsibilities and be willing to make sacrifices for one’s country – as my comrades did. As the troops used to say, ‘If the country is good enough to live in, it’s good enough to fight for.’ With privilege goes responsibility.” – E.B. Sledge.

  6. God can forgive. I’ll go ahead and remember.

My uncle’s best friend from childhood was the last person to die from 9/11. He was walking out of the first tower to be hit at the exact second the landing gear from the first plane fell. It fell and took off the back part of his body. He survived. After a month+ in NY, he was able to be transported to Mass General where he fought until December. Then, after massive amounts of pain, he finally passed into peace… and that’s the least horrible thing I can think of as far as suffering goes from that day.

I appreciate your ability to forgive. I’ll go ahead and remember.

  7. Great Post, Frank! America is worth fighting for and I, for one will fight if need be! But our fabulous military probably has the capability to handle about anything that threatens us. What we need to fight for is better leadership that won’t destroy this country from within!
