* My ebook drops (downloads?) tomorrow, so expect a lot of this.
I’m excited for people to finally get to read it. Are you excited? You should be excited.
* After watching that stunning defeat of Boise State on Saturday (at least with how bad our kickers have been this year, we expected him to miss that last second field goal), I was hit with even more bad news: There was another Republican debate. These things will just never end. This one was on foreign policy, so Cain just tried to fade into the background while Ron Paul put on his full crazy for all to see.
Winners: Romney, who always seems to know what he’s talking about even while being weasely. Also, Newt Gingrich because it’s just so much fun to see him lecture moderators. It would almost be worth nominating him just to see him talk down to Obama.
Well, only… fourteen more debates to go. Wow. By the end of this, I’m going to be almost as sick of seeing Romney on TV as I am Obama.
* Obama made it clear he disagreed with the Republican candidates on whether waterboarding is torture. He said, “I’ll incinerate an American citizen with a hellfire missile, but I draw the line at pouring water on the face of a known terrorist mastermind!”
* It’s official — the Supreme Court is going to hear appeals on Obamacare. Do we have individual liberty, or can the government force us to do and buy whatever it one day feels like because… Commerce Clause.
If the Supreme Court rules that the Commerce Clause is so expansive as to basically eradicate the entire purpose of the Constitution, I think I might riot. Who wants to riot? Nah, on second thought, I probably have work that day.
* Even though they’ve had their biggest stands in blue cities, everyone is just fed up with Occupy Wall Street groups, and thus police are in full hippy whomping mode, breaking up the occupations in Oakland and other places. I wouldn’t expect too many of the protesters to end up arrested; they’ll probably just be the 1%.
* Wisdom of the Day: “‘We are the 99 cents.’ — Wendy’s Value Menu” –Sean Thomason
* Man, I hope my book sells well. I want Buttercup to be able to look up at her father as a big time author. She really needs that since she already has enough disadvantages on account of us naming her “Buttercup”.

Am I the only one to note that the occupy hippies are protesting government power so they can get more governemnt power?
“She really needs that since she already has enough disadvantages on account of us naming her ‘Buttercup’.”
At the time that you named her Buttercup, who could have anticipated that there would be “Occupy Wall Street” rallies, filled with people with names like…well, Buttercup? So, hopefully, she’ll someday forgive you.
I have to side with Obama on his foreign policy, not the bowing, apologizing, leading from behind stuff. Waterboarding is torchure. Much better to shoot them in the head as they cower behind a woman. Hellfire missles are good too. Just waiting for saturation bombing for info. Sifting through rubble for intel is much more humane than dabbing Perrier in the face of KSM.
Got my $1.99 saved up! Hope there’s no sales tax, though.
Hey, maybe we could arrange to riot on Saturday? No occupying, though. Unless it’s, like, a Saturday morning to early Sunday occupation. Church then football, you know.
I happen to know that Buttercup’s real name starts with the letter “C.” But I ain’t telling how I know that!
Yay, Boise St. lost! I’d mark this as just one indication that the blue field is an affront not only to man, but also to all that is good and just in the America.
If Boise State had a kicker, they would be undefeated over the last two years.
On the other, other hand, further expansion of federal power under the Commerce Clause (a close relation of Santa Claus) would allow the feds to oulaw blue football fields under the pretext that teams and fans drive from other states to look at that blasted creation.
I want Boise St. to recognize its error on its own.
It has come to my attention that some of the occupiers are willfully getting arrested. The thinking(?) being that being arrested gains sympathy. I predict this practice to cease once it becomes common knowledge that the Bilderberger Group is using this as an opportunity to implant those in custody (as authorized on page 1014 of the Obama Healthcare bill) with RFIDs. This will facilitate the gathering later of the group for detention in the FEMA camps and the establishment of the New World Order.
Cbuttercup? That can’t be right.
I fully support the hippie whomping. Maybe I can get in a few whomps. To support my local LEOs. 🙂
Romney cam out on stage for the debate in black face and everyone called him moochelle.
” Obama made it clear he disagreed with the Republican candidates on whether waterboarding is torture.”
Of course he thinks its torture, it was used on his terrorist friends. How else do you think we found out about the land deal with bill ayres
Someone asked obama if waterboarding was torture, and he screamed “Can’t i just eat my waffle!”
Water boarding is torture! I hate wasting good water on mooselems.
“…thus police are in full hippy whomping mode,…”
Dang cops get all the fun!
Watching livestream from Portland Occupy. They have a new chant: “WE LOVE YOU”. That makes me uncomfortable. Can I sue for sexual harassment?
Cutterbup. Very cute.
DamnCat – just like I know ussjimmycarter’s first name is ‘Steve.’ But he’s in the doghouse so I won’t mention it. Wait. Doghouse? Prolly more like the cat house where he and his umen do their thing.
“She really needs that since she already has enough disadvantages on account of us naming her ‘Buttercup’.”
What doesn’t kill her will only make her stronger. Just consider starting self defense classes early.
Is this book going to be available for people who don’t own a Kindle? Prefer an unencumbered ePub since I’m one of those penguin people. Only other option is an Android phone with a 2.8″ display so reading on that isn’t a good idea.
New hippy chant: “WE LOVE YOU! BUT DON’T CALL THE COPS IF WE RAPE YOU!”
While bottling beer and making salsa tonight, I listened to Michael Savage on the radio.
After his program ended, who should come on but Ed Schultz.
“Hey,” I said to myself, “That’s that guy my mom always listens too. Maybe I should give him a listen!”
After an hour, I began to wonder if a transcript of his show, and an affidavit signed by my sister that mom actually listens to this lib-tard bloviator would be sufficient evidence to have my mother committed to a home.
To summarize, he’s like Rush Limbaugh, if Rush Limbaugh was uninformed, humorless, mean spirited and petty.
I got 2 e-mail notifications from Amazon.com that my pre-ordered copy of That Obama thing that Frank wrote had been delivered to my Kindle for PC.
Furious at the thought that I might have been charged for 2 copies, I checked my Kindle library and there it was (only one).
“When it was time for him to finally enter politics, he headed to the place best known for learning good values in government: Chicago.”
Wow. Just Wow. Good job, Frank! 🙂
I don’t remember ordering your book but it showed up in my laptop-kindle deal today.
It’s ticking me off, along the bottom it claims there’s 495 pages but it skips from 5 to 9 to 16 to 24 to…..
I’ll review it if I ever get around to actually reading it instead of just flipping through it.
The Great Landlord finally let me put in my order for the thing…must be I’m either too old for this new-fangled computer nonsense, or it didn’t like pre-orders for the PC version. Opening day of violent-deer-herd-management today in MI, but I’ll start on it tonight! Can’t wait!
Heh, if you didn’t see the debate on Saturday, don’t worry about it. It was on CBS, or as I like to call it: “Rather’s channel”. If you ever smell something mildly unpleasant and can’t tell where it is or what caused it, it usually is CBS.
The book is on my iTunes now. Good luck with it, Frank!
Not only did I download your book but I put it on Limewire, eMule and PirateBay so EVERYONE can enjoy it!
“look up at her father as a big time author.”
It did NOT work out that way for the author of Poor Richard’s Almanac.
Finally got to see the 11/12 Saturday GOP debate. Not nearly as good as Wednesday’s . Maybe the candidates need a pick-me-up to look their best on a Saturday night.
RP was doing his Professor Irwin Corey imitation. At one point he intimated that the average Joe was in danger of being tortured AND blown up with cruise missiles. The immoderators, besides inviting Newt to a slap fight with Romney, seemed to be steering questions to Huntsman & Santorum (why are they still there? Because no one’s in charge in the GOP?).
Bachmann, looking ever less confident and almost desperate, was more than a bit twitchy. Herman was trying very hard to look serious, so much so that he came across as angry. His answers weren’t very good, too tentative. And Perry seems firmly on the down escalator. They all suffered from taking the hypothetical questions too seriously. It seems to me that blindly accepting a lot of questions on undefined hypothetical situations is a great way to look incompetent.
Pelley: What would YOU! DO! as PRESIDENT!! if the Pakistanis lost a nuclear bomb?!? Candidate: Well, everyone knows that these things are in the last place one looks, so after we have put in place a program to locate the weapon (checking the nightstand, behind the sofa, the back seat , lost and found at the bowling alley, etc etc) we would initiate a six sigma program to help ‘Pockee-stan’ to take better care of its thermonuclear munitions and become a model citizen of our global community.
Romney didn’t come across as well as on Wednesday night but still tied Newt for competent adult status. Neither one appeals to me. Mitt is too much the political chameleon, following in his father’s footsteps. And, as soon as Newt gets overconfident (he seems to be there now), he will shoot himself in some vital organ. Those of us who recall the 90s are not looking forward to the inevitable crash.
