[High Praise! to EdthePastor]
Bill Whittle & Andrew Klavan give the MST3K treatment to Obama’s insipid “The Road We Traveled” campaign ad, and also throw in pop-up info-nuggets every time someone tells a lie – so those are pretty much non-stop.

Pretty good job for not having any homemade robots assisting.
First!
This is sad, but I’ve actually missed people posting “First!” at IMAO.
I guess at this point, it probably qualifies as “retro” when measured in “internet years”.
“Woodys for Obama? No, that’s Chris Matthews”
Bwahahaha
This is clearly a racist video. I’m calling homeland security…
“Check out the jazz hands”
LMAO
I love this- it’s hilarious. I just wish they had chosen either the MST3K thing or the pop-up video thing, it was confusing to watch with both. Otherwise- I demand more!
Book – I agree about the confusion. It took me a couple minutes to figure out that the pop-ups were part of the critique, since I never saw Obama’s original.
I’m with Book — do it one way or the other. I think the pop ups are great, but as much as I like Whittle, he needs to work on his MST3K shtick.
In Whittle’s defense, MST3K shtick mostly revolves around commenting about the presentation of the story, instead of its content. And with Obama BS’ing, it’s REALLY hard to not to shout “YOU LIE!” at what he says, which is kinda what some of the commentary ended up being.
I’ll be encouraging and say “not bad for a first try”. Keep in mind that the MST3K gang were pros, and they made it look easy. Good riffing is really tough, though.
