Well, the assault weapons ban totally failed. After Newtown, the left were like, “It’s a totally different climate on guns now! Everyone will be all for completely useless gun control measures that will annoy legal gun owners and do nothing to stop criminals!” But no, it’s not different. Opinion on guns have gone one direction for 50 years and it’s well established now that nothing will make it go the other way. And thus gun control supporters are ending up more and more like those Japanese after WWII who didn’t know the war was over.
My advice for those frustrated at how gun control has utterly failed: Just shrug your shoulder and say, “I guess I just don’t understand freedom,” and then move on to some other more minor despotic issue like soda bans. There’s other places freedom is still vulnerable, so attack it there. But on guns, you lost. Humanity won.
It ain’t over ’till the fat senator sings!
Yep, they took Frank’s advice and found another issue:
Cops: U.S. Law Should Require Logs Of Your Text Messages
[cnet / 3/19/13]
AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and other wireless providers would be required to capture and store Americans’ confidential text messages, according to a proposal that will be presented to a congressional panel today.
The law enforcement proposal would require wireless providers to record and store customers’ SMS messages — a controversial idea akin to requiring them to surreptitiously record audio of their customers’ phone calls — in case police decide to obtain them at some point in the future.
@Oppo
These bastards really seem to have trouble with the concepts of privacy and freedom, don’t they.
I’d like to thank toy brands like NERF for continuing to market toy guns to children, and to the parents who buy them. Today we live in a culture where simply pointing your fingers like a gun or chewing your pop tart the wrong way will get you expelled from school, and it takes alot of balls to put a toy gun in the hands of a child and encourage them to shoot their friends. Kids playing war with toy guns that don’t even hurt them introduces them to the idea that its very easy to be shot, without the pain, of course. When they’re a little older, we’ll add the pain by getting them airsoft or paintball (ouch!). It will give them a respect for firearms and combat they couldn’t get any other way that’s not lethal. Then they will have the respect, responsibility, and experience they will need when it comes time for a real gun. And maybe with all that running around shooting each other they did as kids, they won’t grow up as a fatassed hippie libtard.
Where liberals are concerned, a battle has been won but the fight is never over and the daily fight to push back insanity can never stop.
” But on guns, you lost. Humanity won.”
* Common Sense (by Thomas Paine) won.
* America, and the difference it makes in this world, won.
* Every person who has died protecting America’s freedom won (again).
* The Declaration Committee (Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, Sherman, & Livingston) won-as did every man who signed their document, written to separate this country from the rule of overbearing power.
* Every one of the 55 delegates who spent 5 months of their lives making sure that every article, every phrase, every single word chosen, was exactly what it should be as they drafted the Constitution of The United States of America, won.
* Every person who understands that the Constitution of The United States of America gives the power and responsibility to run this country US, as in “We The People”; not to those who, like most employees, must rely on our approval in order to keep their jobs, won.
* Everyone who lives with the power of those documents (even those who support more gun control) won, because the government had to admit that it does not have ultimate power in THIS country.
You dont understand the “gays just want out of the closet” leftists very well do you??? Like any parasite, they dont stop till youre DEAD…
Don’t be fooled, it will never be over. As long as one man seeks to make things “even” “balanced” or ” for the good of ALL”, there will be people who will advocate for restrictions on everything including guns.
We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.- Doctrine and Covenants 121:39.
Those who refuse to learn from history are DOOMED to repeat it. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.
