She’s Baaaaaaaaaaack!
Well, actually Steve H is a guy.
I’m pretty sure 😛
@2 – On the internet, you never know.
Rumor has it *I’m* actually a sentient beard that’s attached itself to a semi-realistic mask of Michael Gross.
But Anonymiss did post the guest picks so…
Must be nice to have a portion of your body that’s sentient…
(and yes, the pic is actually of me, and the facial hair typically indicates gender)
Thanks Steve!! 🙂
I used to have a real pic of myself, and then Keln said the internet was too dangerous or something, so I changed it.
But no facial hair here. Long dark wavy hair. But it’s not sentient. *sigh*
@6 You’re quite welcome. After all, in this place you are royalty!
I tend to doubt the “danger” aspect. If the camera is really close there isn’t enough context to recognize you. I’m surprised how many people know me but don’t recognize the avatar until they look more closely at me and hold their hands up in a frame shape, then the resemblance becomes apparent. It’s weird, but it works. (After they “get it” they can’t “un-get it”.)
@7 Huh.
Ok. So are any of you guys photographers that would like to take a “really close” shot so no one can recognize me?
It’s called a “selfie,” Miss Anony. 🙂
@9 Silly. 🙂
All the close up pics I have of myself I would say are pretty “recognizable”. Maybe I should find one from really far away instead?
Hmm.
Who wants to help me choose one?
Btw, guys, didn’t Steve H do a fantastic job??? 😀
@10 Well, *I’m* trustworthy.
Plus, I have a bad memory, so if I *do* see something that would identify you, I’ll likely forget it before the day is out.
I think if the picture is close enough to only contains your left nostril you should be safe. Not sure about the right nostril though, that may be dangerous.
It’s not just you, Miss Anony. We’ve been after ALL the women of IMAO to submit… ah pictures.
Okay, I’ll help photograph you if you’ll help me paint my walls and ceilings.
@14 “We’ve been after ALL the women of IMAO to submit… ah pictures.”
I’m not sure whether to be insulted or flattered. Huh.
Will I have to remove wallpaper?
No wallpaper! Wallpaper must have been invented by the French who were too lazy to make paint. Oh, darn, I looked it up… it was by the Chinese.
I’ve decided that mid-winter is the best time to paint the interior of your home. Keep a big fire going in the airtight, raise the inside temperature to 80F, paint like crazy and open your doors. 20% outside humidity at 35F warmed to 80F produces….
Wait a sec whilst I consult my psychrometric chart…
Okay, REALLY dry air.
@15 – “All” the women is a fairly small group. I sorta wonder if being a woman at IMAO isn’t like being a woman who stumbles into the Big Band Theory comic book store.
@11 – and thank you, by the way.
(My glutten-free cookies came out like shredded newspaper, so I didn’t even bother to mention them.)
@17 – Is that the Ellington, Dorsey, Miller, Basie, or Rich version?
@17 and @19 I happen to LOVE Big Band. 😛
That must be why I’m here.
Or maybe I’m a glutton for punishment.
Or maybe I’m into this: http://www.imao.us/index.php/2014/02/atlas-gave-up/
