What if Obama’s offer to give body mounted cameras to cops was turned around, and instead all congress critters, cabinet level executive branch officials, and of course Obama and VP Biden had to wear cameras 24/7 and stream the content to the internet for all to see?
To live outside the law you must be honest. Our elected officials should ACT as IF they did have 24 coverage of their actions.
If I crash the jet tomorrow, it’ll set the company back about …. well let’s see, I think an MD11 comes in at roughly 30 mil, the freight on any given night is roughly 10 mil in revenue and whatever the FO and my Insurance payments are….roughly 4 mil?
So round it all off high at 100 mil to crash a freighter.
My every moment at work is recorded.
100 mil is a rounding error in the decisions the Congress and White House makes.
So, yeah, who should be recorded?
I just thought about what we could have seen had the members of the Kennedy family had to wear body-mounted cameras. I need some mind bleach.
Great idea, but it would probably replace bulimia, alcohol abuse, and vertigo as primary causes of vomiting.
My condolences, Iowa Jim, some similar thoughts crossed my mind (Kennedy clan, Clintons, Pelosi, Reid…yeeeeuuucht!). Still, I firmly think that if any lawmaker demands others do or not do something, they should have to do or not do likewise. Cameras for cops, cameras for lawmakers and all public officials; Obamacare for us..and them; restrict my firearms rights, restrict their security details AND their firearms rights; tax me, their tax should be double (they’re the ones with the hair brained idea after all); it might help cut down on some of the insanity, provided we throw in term limits/make it illegal to be a career politician.
