They were very ferocious-looking bearded men with turbans looking like they came from another century. President Reagan received them in the White House. After receiving them he spoke to the press. He pointed towards them, I’m sure some of you will recall that moment, and said, “These are the moral equivalent of America’s founding fathers”. These were the Afghan Mujahiddin. They were at the time, guns in hand, battling the Evil Empire. They were the moral equivalent of our founding fathers!
In August 1998, another American President ordered missile strikes from the American navy based in the Indian Ocean to kill Osama Bin Laden and his men in the camps in Afghanistan. I do not wish to embarrass you with the reminder that Mr. Bin Laden, whom fifteen American missiles were fired to hit in Afghanistan, was only a few years ago the moral equivalent of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson!
Ah…Narb has this whole thing figured out! So now Osama was a poor Mujahiddin fighting for his country and the whole thing is OUR fault! Interesting logic…except that he is the son of a Saudi who’s family fortune runs in the hundreds of millions of dollars! But small details like that don’t matter, Narby…keep blaming your own country for everything…it will make you feel better!
My Dad once had some men with beards come to our house to replace the roof. He said they did a great job. Does that mean that mean Osama is Amish? I wish my Dad had used pirates, though…that would have been a better story.
Amish pirates can’t use motor boats I’ve been told. They also don’t believe in violence. This makes them a very surrender worthy adversary in the new Democratic management.

Now that the media sheep known as “moderates” have returned the liberals to power, let’s see what your plan is to handle Iraq and Afghan.
