Lefties bashing the Hobby Lobby decision.

It starts with misconstruing “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” as “Religious freedom is a two-sided coin that involves freedom of religion and freedom from religion.

Yeah… and it also involves Congress…

It just gets sillier from there…

I have a feeling that if a Muslim business had objected instead of Hobby Lobby, this smug twerp would not be calling them “religious fanatics”. Gee…I wonder why?

  2. zzyzx says:

Why? Because Muslims are, for the most part, religious fanatics. But if you call them that they will kill you.

  3. 4of7 says:

So, Liberty and Justice for All means, “I get what I want and I don’t have to pay for it!”?

  4. Les says:

“Everyone has the right to practice their religion as they please, or not practice at all. But they do not have the right to use religion to discriminate in jobs, healthcare, and education.”

Be sure to point that out when you wear your “Choose Life” themed apparel to a job interview at Planned Parenthood.

  5. NO_MO_BAMA says:

I don’t want some religious fanatic telling me what to do!!! I want a communist fanatic telling you what to do!!!

  6. Iowa Jim says:

Actually, as I understand it, the Hobby Lobby case was not about the meaning of the first amendment. It was about the meaning of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, passed in 1993, with votes from, among others, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi, and signed into law by Bill Clinton.

“Sorry, comments have been disabled by the owner of this video.”

Should we rise up and start screeching about them subverting our First Amendment Rights of Free Speech?

  8. Harvey says:

    @7 Chip – Heh, I didn’t notice that.

    Irony Bacon to you, sir!

  9. NO_MO_BAMA says:

Sorry, comments have been disabled by the owner of this video because he knows all you religious fanatics will point out what a douche he is.

  10. Weisshaupt says:

Because Atheism is a religion its practice is protected by the second amendment.
Because Atheism is the absence of religion, Congress may establish it as the national religion

You cannot force a non-Catholic to contribute to the Catholic Church and pay for things that further their beliefs
You Can force Catholics to pay for the beliefs of non-Catholics.

If you sell a service, you must sell the services defined by the established religion, and you cannot choose to not offer abortion services otherwise you are discriminating.
Just as if you bake cakes and don’t want to sell Marriage Cakes for Gay weddings, you must. (or provide photography services, or floral arrangements)
But if you are a Gay Man who sells his body to other gay men, it would be wrong to force him to sleep with a woman.

If it weren’t fort he double standards the left would have no standards at all.
They have the right to swing their fist into your nose as much as they want, but you don’t have the right to do the same
The left fundamentally feels that Live and Let Live is an imposition on them, because THEY OWN YOU, and how dare their property dictate to them how it may be used?

With the left its always the same – we have rights, but you don’t. They never understand that if we don’t have rights, neither do they. They are just second on the list instead of first.
First they came for the Jews..

They will eventually reap what they sow. Even if they succeed in killing every freedom lover.

    #10 – Weisshaupt,
Well said! Bacon to you, sir!
