Don Knotts was a comedy hero to me.
Even though the Barney Fife character will live on in reruns and on DVD collections, won’t be able to watch them without a tinge of sadness knowing the man behind the badge, the bullet and, yes, the bud nipping has gone on to the Mayberry Eternal.
I, for one, will miss him greatly.
More at Jack Lewis.
I was trying to fix this for you, monkey, but the image stuff you use is unfamiliar to me. I’ll leave it to you so we don’t mess up the other’s “fixes.”
I shrunk it.
I thought there was more text to it which I don’t see in the post?
Now Dennis Weaver is gone. Bummer.
Don Knotts, Dennis Weaver and Darren McGavin on the same day. they were all in their 80s. They all died of “illness.” I smell a conspiracy. Anyone seen Andy Griffith lately?
Don,Dennis,Darren, somebody please check my pulse.Seriously all three were stars to those who watched TV from the sixties on.But losing Barney, man that hurts the most.
It sounds like this is going around:

Sad.
RIP, Don, Darren, Dennis.
Dang. “Dave” starts with a D!
RIP Darren “Kolchak/Christmas Story Dad” McGavin. I about chucked a brick through the TV when I tried to watch that new “Kolchak: Night Stalker” with Stuart Townsend. What a total rip!!! What next? Dakota Fanning and Ice Cube in a remake of “A Christmas Story”?
Just goes to show you that life is Frageelay.
But 3 guys with ‘D’ names, all from the 60’s? DDD = 666?
