  1. Men involved in fight clubs often carry bottled-up violent impulses learned in childhood from video games, cartoons and movies, said Michael Messner, a University of Southern California sociology and gender studies professor.
SoCal sociology and gender studies professor, real manly man I bet

  2. Someone needs to take the Gender Studies Professor out and “introduce” him to the Sweet Science! And just exactly what in the hell does one study in “Gender Studies” at USC one wonders? Does this class get a grant from the Federal Government? I’m betting it does! This dufus needs to be deported!

  3. I’ve been a student of “gender studies” since I hit puberty, but it mostly involves Jenna Elfman movies and watching the Girls Gone Wild ads on late night TV.
But, back to the topic at hand, if nobody can talk about it, how does a rage filled man find a local affiliate so I can kick some wormy techno-geek butt? If I see a group of two or more guys standing around not talking do I get to haul off and start punching? Or would that be presumptuous?
think I’ll stick to gender studies…and beer.

  4. I don’t think violence is an answer for every question but rage has to go somewhere. At least their not at home beating up on the little woman and kids. This should be a great topic for somebodies dissertation: “Why do educated urban professionals need to beat each other up once a week?
    So many interesting possibilities.
