From 1951, “Meet King Joe”:
Hypersensitive liberals shouldn’t watch this, since it contains stereotypes about bucktoothed Chinese, red-headed Irish, and nagging wives.
Pay careful attention at around the 5 minute point and the line “With constant improvement in expensive tools and the skill to use them, the value of any man’s labor can be multiplied many times.”
Eerily prescient, that. Who’d have believed back then that those pig-tailed paddy-waders would have the skull-sauce to run a railroad?
Loved it!
BTW – Today, China has a 0% cap gain tax rate. They continue to attract investment, which is why, sadly, they will be the ones to lead the world out of its current morass. The way I see it, Obamanomics will keep the USA stagnant.
Now post Coal Black And De Sebben Dwarves.
Or Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips.
Ah but obammer o’vomit will have reached his goal ala winston:
The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.
Winston Churchill
Most Democrats today don’t even understand the terminology used in that cartoon, let alone the concepts.
In the early ’50’s, that cartoon would have been watched by teenagers in theaters (and on early TV) and their reaction would have been, “Of course!”
Today, that cartoon would illicit arguments from undergraduate economics majors and their so called professors.
We’re de-evolving.
#1,
With China on the Rise, it’s just a matter of time until the Alliance and Browncoats. Just call me Captain Tight Pants.
