Capitalist Propaganda: “It’s Everybody’s Business”

From 1954, a two-parter called “It’s Everybody’s Business”. The first half does a nice job of showing how constitutional principles are the basis of a free market:

The second half explains how free markets are supposed to work in a free society:

Two things I especially liked in part 2 are the fist-and-dagger representation of what America’s “hero” FDR actually did to this country during WWII (segment starts at 4:57), and an almost Nostrodamical prediction of Obama’s rise to power (segment starts at 7:47).

Evolution

Anyone else freaked out by the thought of there once being half-monkey/half-lemurs? I’m glad they’re dead.

By the way, I’ve gotten tired of atheist who think any evidence of evolution helps disprove God, so I’ve decide to declare by fiat that evolution is property of Christianity and proof of God. Thus any evolution evidence helps disprove atheism. Evolution is way too complicated for Athor, god of atheism, to figure out, but its child’s play for my god, God. So every time some half-monkey/half-lemur thingee is found that is further disproof of atheism. So, if you’re an atheist, you have to give up believing in evolution or become a Christian.

Don’t Hide from the Message

I don’t like moderates. I’d wish they’d all get hit by buses and end up in comas until election day when they can vote for us and get hit by a bus again. That probably won’t happen, so I’ll just say don’t listen to their message about moderating what we stand for. The big advantage conservatives have over liberals is that we don’t have to hide from our message.

Liberals can never say exactly what they want because it’s scary. That’s why they don’t work on talk radio. If they say what they’re goals are unfiltered, it even scares themselves. Look at college campuses; if liberals were unrestrained, is there any doubt their final goal would be socialism and fascism? They inch into any control they can have about our finances and behavior and clamp down on it like wolverines never letting go, but they never talk about their ultimate goals except in the vaguest terms (“Change and happiness!”) because they’re well aware of how much it would freak people out. They want socialism and government control, but they just don’t want to state it that way.

Conservative ideals can be stated frankly, though, and not send people running. It can be a little scary – freedom and responsibility is scary – but it’s an argument people will accept. So while liberals dance around what they want, we need to state frankly what our goals are. Lay out a real vision for the future to inspire people.

OUR VISION

* Government should be as small as possible and we need to take control of our own lives and finances.

* Any country that messes with us should be brutalized to the point we get world wide condemnation.

* Anyone against this is a sissy and should be punched in the nads.

Obama Apologizes For Using Wrong Finger

WASHINGTON (AP) – During the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, President Obama was caught on tape during an embarrassing moment where he absent-mindedly scratched his face with his index finger after referencing someone with whom he disagreed politically.

Obama’s controversially innocuous gesture toward Michael Steele.

In previous speeches, the President has casually scratched his face with his middle finger while referencing both Hillary Clinton and John McCain. While some right-wing extremist groups have cited these actions as “punk” moves that showed “contempt” for his opponents, defenders of the President’s clean, articulate nature were quick to point out that questioning Obama’s “normal and natural” gesture is childish, absurd, and prosecutable under the USA PATRIOT Act.

“The scratching in question at the Correspondents Dinner,” said White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, “took place while the President was referring to RNC Chairman Michael Steele. Obviously the presence of an African-American who didn’t support him unquestioningly was surprising and disturbing to Mr. Obama, like owning a horse that gives birth to a unicorn. It’s just freakishly unnatural. This so unnerved the President that he may have inadvertently used an inappropriate finger to soothe his tingling Spidey-senses. He, of course, apologizes if anyone misinterpreted his uncharacteristic non-derisive gesture toward a despicable race-traitor.”

Michael Steele, the non-object of the non-scorn, made no comment specifically on the finger issue, but WAS shocked by some of Obama’s verbal offerings during the dinner, stating during a recent press conference, “Heezy?… HEEZY?… Yo, G, the wor’ is ‘HIZZY’!… Damn, homey, you street cred be illin!”

Award!

Socrates of Socrates’ Academy has honored IMAO (well, Frank J., anyway) with the “Really Smart Blogger” Award.

Please note that IMAO is NOT “Democrat smart” as in “smart power“, “smart grid“, or “smart Biden“.

IMAO is smart as in when we punch filthy, tree-hugging liberals, they cry like little girls and say “That really smarts!”.

NOTE: Still caught up. Send ’em if ya got ’em.

FINE PRINT:

To join the exclusive club of blogs who honor IMAO and have your award featured on our sidebar with a link to your blog, make up a fancy award image honoring IMAO, blog about it, and drop a link in the comments.

Greenhouse Emissions Reduction

So Obama’s new plan to reduce greenhouse emissions is to force automakers to mandate higher mileage, thus making cars smaller, less safe, and more expensive (estimates are $1300 more).

This is a good plan.

First off, it reduces the number of poor people on the road by making cars more expensive. As a Republican, I applaud anything that harms the poor, and I especially don’t want them on our nations roads. And the less people who can afford to drive, then the less greenhouse emissions.

Second, it will cause more people to die. More deaths also equals less people on the road and thus less greenhouse emissions.

So, while some of us may oppose Obama’s plan, we have to admit that it will reduce greenhouse emissions. This should go well with his plan to reduce greenhouse emissions by bankrupting the country so factories shut down.

Random Thoughts

Apparently Pelosi’s lies were so bad that a Speaker of the House in a completely different country is resigning.

I’ve always said the biggest problem with automobiles today is that too many poor people own them.

There is never going to be respect for the Muslim world when they’re the children we can’t upset and we’re the adults expected to know better. Why can’t Muslims in the Middle East ever be like, “Don’t worry, that’s just those silly Christians. They don’t know any better.”?

I don’t get angry for how Pelosi feeds on souls – she needs them to live – but does she have to cackle so loudly while doing it?

Either creationists or evolutionist have spent a lot time promoting utter nonsense, but could either side ever man up and admit that?

People understand that I’m awesome, but it frustrates me to no end that people don’t quite comprehend just how awesome I am.

For the record, I think evolution is probably true and that most people who believe in it are idiots.

Members of the Brady Campaign probably are too dumb to handle guns… or anything with sharp edges.

Sometimes I worry if I’m smart enough to comprehend just how much of a genius I am. These worries are unfounded.

Marvin Gaye is so Gaye.
