Why Obama doesn’t want the U.S. flag flying in Haiti

So the president doesn’t want U.S. troops flying the U.S. flag in Haiti during relief efforts.

Why? According to a report:

The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea.

“We are not here as an occupation force, but as an international partner committed to supporting the government of Haiti on the road to recovery,” the U.S. government’s Haiti Joint Information Center said in response to a query about the flag.

But, there’s more to it than that. This video explains why:

Remember when we had a president who was proud of our country and respected the flag? Those were the days.

  1. Show of hands; who among us did not expect such an occurrence?

Unfortunately, Barry, you cannot make those Haitians hate this country as you do. Some people still have a sense of gratitude.

  2. You know, under almost any other situation, I’d have no doubt.

However, after hearing that “rendition” of our anthem, I’m not sure who disrespected America worse, Obama or the “singer”..

  3. This is why the attorney general and the courts should be elected and not appointed. The chief law enforcemnet officer in the country is taking the guy in the white house up the back side and not doing his duty. The pos in the white sh… house should be arrested for treason, and holder is trying to free terrorists. holder should eb arresting most of the house of dis-representatives, instead the cs is threating people who don’t fill out their census form with more than what is constitutionally required. Why is the military not booting this pos to the curb? I am a Sunday away from asking for our militia to be called forth to protect our country.

Is there a tarhet shirt we can send the commie clown in charge?

  4. That’s it. Normally I don’t like laws that micromanage our lives, but I’d support an amendment on a budget reconciliation bill that would allow us to publicly pillory anybody who departs from the words, notes, and METER of Francis Scott Key.

  5. Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” contains a catchy title. It has an idea of bravery mixed confidently. There is nothing Pollyanna regarding it. I may well not support everything he tells, but he’s our president, as well as for me, he creates confidence. That will do more for just a region than any number of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I was a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity is just not over. I’ve come across the quips of those that don’t think Obama can make it. But step back a second. Would anyone have most of us fail in order to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Attempting to keep our priorities straight, let’s work together with our president and build our future.

[His socialist agenda “creates confidence?” So, either you’re a socialist, or you’re a dumbass. Or both. – B.]
