Fred Thompson gave me a little shout-out and read my email on his Thursday show (about the 1hr 10min mark).

Our friend Harvey tells us that Ford surpassed government-owned General Motors in sales for the first time in 50 years. He says “I got an idea… scrap Obamacare and let Ford take over the healthcare system.”
John Hawkins polled right-leaning bloggers on their favorite movies, and here are the results. For the record, here are the ten movies I named. I came up with the list pretty quickly, so I probably forgot some more deserving ones. Anyway, trying to not be pretentious, I based my selection on what movies I would be compelled to watch if they were playing on TV (pretending it’s back in the day before DVRs and I watched just random things off the TV). Here they are:
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Princess Bride
Die Hard
The Empire Strikes Back
The Godfather
Tommy Boy
The Matrix
The Incredibles
The Dark Knight
Jaws
Looking at Hawkins’s list, the most glaring ones I forgot about are Raiders of the Lost Ark and Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Also, had I thought of them, Apollo 13 and It’s a Wonderful Life might have made the list.
UPDATE: SarahK’s list is here.
It appears the shooter at the Pentagon was some crazed, anti-Bush truther. Also, we had the guy quoting Communists as he flew a plane into a building. And the Obama-devoted Amy Bishop went on a shooting spree. And to show there’s a history of it, ends up the anthrax killer from right after 9/11 was deathly afraid of Dick Cheney and voted for Obama.
Many of us thought the left would get less crazy when they gained power, but hindsight being 20/20 we can see now why the opposite is true. All they did was set them self up to be rejected on a much larger scale. It’s like a guy finally getting the courage to ask the pretty girl out only for her to scream what a weird loser he is leading to everyone pointing and laughing at him. Now they’ve got violently angry; just read any Kos Kids or Charles Johnson and you’ll quickly see these people are angry, hate-filled, unhinged, and convinced their opponents are Nazis meaning anything they do is justified. It’s scary!
Anyway, we should pass laws making it illegal for liberals to talk. Some may think that’s unconstitutional, but let’s consider two main points here. First point: There is no political purpose to them talking. Obviously, Americans completely reject all their ideas, so it doesn’t advance the political situation in America at all to have them talk. Second point: The only result of liberals talking is crazed, left-winger violence. So basically, liberals talking advances no agenda and leads to people going crazy and wanting to kill. We can do without that.
To be fair, though, I asked Keith Olbermann to respond the charge that his rhetoric is nothing but fuel to the fire for crazy people:
Democrats have seized on a surefire way to not be beaten by Republicans in November: Don’t run. It’s like every day we hear of a Democrat resigning or deciding not to run again.
Basically, Obama is asking everybody to go on a suicide mission for him when he isn’t a good enough leader to command any loyalty. “This will probably kill you all, but no while I’m sitting back here and watching I’m really cheering for you!” Not surprising you have a lot of people just go AWOL.
This is really going to ruin our fun, though. We’ll get to November and we’ll already have a majority since all the Democrats ran away making the election just a formal acknowledgment. No drama or anything. That’s the Dems; always ruining everyone’s fun.
Harper Collins has announced that Sarah Palin will write a new book about forbidden love with sparkling vampires.
Sarah Palin to star in new TV series as a governor by day, international spy by night, and frenzied mom in between.
I won’t trust they’re doctors just because they have white jackets. They need round reflector things on their heads too.
Maybe next photo op Obama should have some of the doctors wear surgical masks so they look extra serious.
It doesn’t seem right that one guy resigning the Supreme Court at the wrong time could basically destroy everything. Thought much of the Supreme Court seem arbitrary, at least it’s not arbitrary in a way that favors one side or the other.
I think the leaked RNC memo is just another reminder not to trust any politicians.
If Republicans win big in November, our attitude towards them should be like parole officers.
If Obama doesn’t get his health care bill passed before the end of March, he turns back into a pumpkin.
