Democrats have seized on a surefire way to not be beaten by Republicans in November: Don’t run. It’s like every day we hear of a Democrat resigning or deciding not to run again.
Basically, Obama is asking everybody to go on a suicide mission for him when he isn’t a good enough leader to command any loyalty. “This will probably kill you all, but no while I’m sitting back here and watching I’m really cheering for you!” Not surprising you have a lot of people just go AWOL.
This is really going to ruin our fun, though. We’ll get to November and we’ll already have a majority since all the Democrats ran away making the election just a formal acknowledgment. No drama or anything. That’s the Dems; always ruining everyone’s fun.
Obama reminds me of the old Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom.

I believe the Democrats will soon begin campaigning with inanimate objects and serial killers.
To deal with recalcitrant legislators who won’t back his health care bill, Obama is now threatening to come to their districts and campaign for them.

No worries – my state of Oregon will continue to barf out loony liberal dems for the foreseeable future. So dems will be scarce but not extinct. The lucky among us will still occasionally encounter one in the hallway and give him/her/it a radioactive megawedgie that we can laugh about around the campfire.
Likewise, innominatus, some sections of my commonwealth of Pennsylvania will continue to barf out imbibers of drunken pork orgies. One recent poll even showed Specter leading. Perhaps it is an outlier, or perhaps we should sell Philly to New Jersey.

I hope so. Otherwise when the Repubs throw away the majority again two years later, we’d have the Green Party in charge. Since the only variable is how fast we want to kill the Republic (as opposed to “reversing the damage” LOL) I think Dems will be the lesser evil in that case.

As a fellow Oregonian, I agree with innominatus. If the Democrats were discovered to have murdered 60 million innocent Americans in concentration camps, the idiots of Portland would still vote for them. With our exclusive vote-by-mail system and enough illegal aliens and bums voting, you could run the stuffed corpse of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov for Oregon governor and he would get elected.
Let’s review:
In the schoolyard, there are those that have the character to stand up to those who oppose them, they play their hardest when up against the toughest competitors in whatever game they are challenged to, they win with grace and lose with grace…then there are sniveling, whining losers who run away at the sign of a challenge, rarely win fairly and always lose poorly. Need I say anymore.

Plenty of D’s to go around in November, Frank. The Republicans, Independents and Tea Partiers will be going “Duh!” while the Democrats go “Doh!” and “Damn!”
Back in 1975 when I was bailing out of California and headed for Alaska, I had to drive through the beautiful state of Oregon. I had just gotten outside of Eugene when a van with Oregon plates passed me…on that van was a bumper sticker that said “Don’t Californiate Oregon.” I think perhaps you Oregonians have forgotten your own good advice.
The Dims that are retiring/deciding not to seek re-election, will be free to vote for all of the Commie-Lib bills that they can think up. Then, they will join Lefty-Lobbies, Lefty Thunk Tanks, Lefty Law Firms, and Board Memberships on Lefty Corporations that depend on Corporate Welfare to make a profit.
When the House and Senate go Republican, the Dims that are left, O-bah-muhh, and the Industrial Media Complex will do what they know best; blame Republicans for what the Dims have done.
Reminds me of back in ’92 during the three-way campaign of Bush / Clinton / Perot. Ol’ H.Ross was polling pretty good there for awhile, to which Dave Barry observed: “The Democrats, tired of coming in 2nd all the time, have now figured out how to come in 3rd.” .
Could be a repeat shaping up here; no small number of Ds are polling behind the short-of-plurality Tea Party folks.
