    Oh, and if during labor, the mother-to-be, by chance, says she hates you, ‘don’t touch me’ or that she’s not having anymore babies, a lot of expectant mothers express such fellings at this stage. Don’t be alarmed. Over time they soon forget and get over it. Usually.

I’ve followed the Buttercup saga from afar (only commenting once with a name suggestion) but have been following religiously since the upcoming arrival was announced…the best of luck to the new family…my gift to the new American will be voting for as many conservative candidates as I can find…and as often as humanly possible!

    Just a scan of the article, you’ll have to zoom to read, hope the quality is ok, but I still find it pretty interesting to read on occasion. Dad’s description of my sister’s non-Lamaze birth sounds pretty horrific – and my Mom always liked her best.

  34. My daughter came into the world ten years ago at 11:33PM on Oct. 7th. She’s been my biggest headach at times, but also the light of my life. I hope the 7th was as lucky for you as it was for me though I guess I should say, “blessed” because I’m not a big believer in luck. Welcome to the fatherhood club, Frank!

  89. Congrats to both of you. Buttercup will rule the world, on a dinosaur with a rocket of course. My only advice to new parents is to remember if you are motivated by love, the margin of error is enormous. There wouldn’t be 6 billion of us otherwise. Think of how many of those 6 billion are complete and utter screw-ups, yet they still raise healthy kids. Even the Obamas are doing that right.
