Labor still ongoing.
If you’re wondering where I am (and who wouldn’t?), I’m at the hospital with SarahK trying to get Buttercup into this world. Keep us in your prayers, and I’ll update you all later.
UPDATE 2300 ET
Labor still ongoing.
Good luck Frank and SarahK. I hope buttercup has all ten fingers and ten toes.
Congrats and good luck!
Will do! Godspeed!
I just want to tell you both good luck.
We’re all counting on you.
🙂
Prayers sent.
Prayers for all three of you.
Like Mr. M said, but I will add that that all ten finger fingers and all ten toes are distributed evenly, like they are supposed to be. None of this 7/3 split stuff, that would just be disturbing.
Best wishes!!!
Good luck and Godspeed!
Good luck! You all will be in my prayers!
Come ooooooooon, Buttercup!!
This is a really neat time and it really does change your life! All for the good! God bless you both, FrankJ and SarahK.
Oh, and if during labor, the mother-to-be, by chance, says she hates you, ‘don’t touch me’ or that she’s not having anymore babies, a lot of expectant mothers express such fellings at this stage. Don’t be alarmed. Over time they soon forget and get over it. Usually.
this is sooooooo exciting !
Go Princess Buttercup ! Go !
Push SarahK ! Push !
Blog Frank ! Blog !
Godspeed to you both!
Prayers heading y’alls way!
I’ve followed the Buttercup saga from afar (only commenting once with a name suggestion) but have been following religiously since the upcoming arrival was announced…the best of luck to the new family…my gift to the new American will be voting for as many conservative candidates as I can find…and as often as humanly possible!
Push her out push her out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out!
Praying for you
Need pictures so I can do a lolprncsbtrcp! post.
Oh, and 1 prayer has been uploaded to the Holy Server on your behalf.
God bless the three of you and those providing care for Sarah and Buttercup (Elinor!) Remember to breathe…
Best wishes from this lurker.
Congratulations Frank and SarahK! Though this probably means Frank will be too tired to Blog for at least the next 3 months.
mmm, i wonder if frank is funnier or not, when he has like 2 hours of sleep a night?
Well regardless, i am pulling for your daughter to make her appearance, to be as wonderful as you hope, and for your wife to suffer the least amount of pain possible, or at least be really, really drugged up. Good luck, and you have to post pics.
Good luck Frank, Sarah and the soon to be Buttercup. The monkeys and I are drinking coffee and rooting for you.
Wonderful times await and God bless!!
Good Luck!
Good luck and Godspeed to you all.
May the blessing of almighty God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, descend upon you and your child, and remain always.
Amen.
WOOT! Awsome! 2 months ago I was in the same spot, and my little Magnum is the best baby ever! Congratulations to you and SarahK!
Prayers, bro.
Awesome! Good luck. I will keep you in my prayers.
I figured there’d be some live blogging! But yes God bless and be with the three of you today.
Babies!
Baby!
Little things you throw money at, and they grow!
congrats! I hadn’t been here in a while and thought: I wonder if buttercup has arrived? I must be psychic! Hope all goes well!
Get ‘er out in time for some Chicago-style voting!
Good luck to you.
If you’re exceedingly bored and mildly curious about how the Lamaze process was reported back when it was new, you can see an article my Dad wrote, about his participation in my birth back when Lamaze was new.
http://picasaweb.google.com/less.tx/NewspaperArticle?feat=directlink
Just a scan of the article, you’ll have to zoom to read, hope the quality is ok, but I still find it pretty interesting to read on occasion. Dad’s description of my sister’s non-Lamaze birth sounds pretty horrific – and my Mom always liked her best.
Good luck to you both, and there’s clearly a bunch of us out here waiting to meet Buttercup!
My daughter came into the world ten years ago at 11:33PM on Oct. 7th. She’s been my biggest headach at times, but also the light of my life. I hope the 7th was as lucky for you as it was for me though I guess I should say, “blessed” because I’m not a big believer in luck. Welcome to the fatherhood club, Frank!
Hooray! Here’s hoping the labor is short and the drugs are long.
Congratulations and God Bless!
Prayers commenced and continuing; cigar on stand-by; awaiting further updates.
…and the prayers continue for all three of ye.
Why isn’t the birth being streamed. I thought you guys had an Ipad for goodness sake.
Good Luck
I am so excited for you guys.
Come on little Buttercup…slide on outta there….lots of folks are waiting to meet you!!!
May the Lord bless you with a beautiful(she will always be beautiful to you)baby Buttercup. enjoy the first time you hold her in your arms.
Good luck talking her out. Don’t tell her how much she already owes in taxes, or you’ll have to go in after her. Hope all goes well.
Just posted on Twitter!
Buttercup is here!
congratulations, frank J! best wishes to you and yours…
I know you won’t have time to read this in the next few weeks, Frank, but here’s hoping all goes well anyways.
Also, I just want to say, good luck, we’re all counting on you.
Congratulations Frank & Sarah!
I’m excited for you guys and I’m praying for you….
She’s here! (according to FB updates)
Caroline Buttercup Fleming, 6 lbs, 10 oz.
Frank and Sarah,
Me and the missus have been praying since we first heard about Buttercup. May the Lord bless you all and may she be used mightily of God.
Chris
God Bless. You will now be filled with the wisdom of the Universe to fullfill your role as “Dad”. Welcome to the club.
Congratulations!
After witnessing the labor & delivery process, are you going to want another baby any time soon? ;-P
Celebration commencing; cigar lit.
(Who cares if it’s late? I can sleep with one eye open at work tomorrow!)
PS: She’s beautiful! Thanks to be to God!
Congratulations!
Hmmm…brings new meaning to “Hello, world” 🙂

What a cute lil kid and what an exhausted looking momma! Congrats you two!
That is a small buttercup. Other names for until she grows into “cup”
-butterteaspoon
-butterquarterofacup
-butter12ouncer
-buttertablespoon
-buttermililiter
-buttermilligram
Once she sets up her online identity, social netoworking, gamertag etc…
-b4bybut13rcup
Congrats Frank and Sarah. She’s really adorable.
Shiggz needs to know that a cup is 8 ounces, so butter12ouncer is actually larger than buttercup. Perhaps he was thinking her name is butterpint?
God Bless you and Sarah and especially the little one! Congratulations sir and madam!
Whew! She got her mother’s looks! Now if she get’s her father’s brain she will be one foxy smart a$$ able to reduce any teenage boy to tears with just 5 well placed words. On top of that she will be able to punch hippies and will be packing!
Congratulations you three and welcome to the planet little princess
😀 what a cute baby
but….she’s wearing a burka O_O
and she’s already texting
poor kid, in 26 years she’ll have to buy her own insurance

Welcome to the world, Buttercup! Make yourself at home.
Start considering where you are going to bury the bodies of any wrong headed boys when she hits 16. Plan for the future ya know.
Conga-rats.
Hooray for procreation!
Congrats to the both of you!
WOW! Cute baby! and really, I don’t EVER say THAT!! babies are usually quite scary looking. Congratulations to the J’s!!
remember Frank, if you’d had a little boy, you’d only have to worry about one little pecker…. but since you have a daughter, now you gotz to worry about ALL the peckers!
Awesome Awesome Awesome Awesome!
Many blessings to you and your family!
Thanks be to God! Congratulations! Now, Frank, you need to go above and beyond to help, especially in the next week or so while Sarah’s endocrine system normalizes. Remember, she’s not afraid of firearms.
Congratulations to both of you! She’s a beautiful baby.
Congratulations!! Glad to see all is well with baby and mama. And she really is adorable – we need more baby pics ASAP!
Yep, it’s a baby alright. I saw one on Google once.
Congratulations folks..
Congrats to both of you. Buttercup will rule the world, on a dinosaur with a rocket of course. My only advice to new parents is to remember if you are motivated by love, the margin of error is enormous. There wouldn’t be 6 billion of us otherwise. Think of how many of those 6 billion are complete and utter screw-ups, yet they still raise healthy kids. Even the Obamas are doing that right.
Yay … congrats and best wishes!
She’s gorgeous. But she’s got Frank’s nose.
Way to go, you two. Cheers.
AWWWWWW! She is ADORABLE! What a beautiful baby!
Great Job Sarah K! We love you. Congratulations! You did GREAT!
Prayers sent. Wait 24 and standby for more.
Frank, don’t let SarahK read this advice, which is intended for your eyes only. Should she try to read it, I’ve encrypted it. Use your 3-D glasses:
[encryption-on] I was hanging out with my friend who had a two month old bebbe. From the other side of their condo, I heard his wife say, “Tom, I think the baby needs changing.” Tom looked up at us and held up a finger. He waited about 5 seconds and helpfully said, “Do want me to change her?” “No thanks, I’ve already got it,” she replied. He then whispered to us, “I’ve only changed her about two times.”
My point is that avoiding duty may well depend on your sense of timing. By using perfect timing and helpfully offering each time, he had created the impression that he had changed her many times.” [encryption-off]
P.S. Since you’ve prolly stopped reading at this point, I’ll share this just to amuse myself: Hold your precious little Buttercup, look into her little eyes filled with wonder and ask yourself if whether she was created by a most loving God or not.
Since FrankJ is the father, shouldn’t her full name by ButtercupJ ?
I really wish they were still making the podcast, I’d love to hear this episode 🙂
Congrats to Frank J and Sarah!
Congratulations! She’s gorgeous, and mom looks Fabulous!!! (never forget that part!) Wishing you all happiness!

Sarah, did an Indian nurse try to imprint your forehead with a spot? She failed.
But really, both you and Buttercup are very precious. God bless you and all your fully extended family.
I couldn’t be happier for you two and the princess.
Pingback: Moe Lane » #rsrh Congratulations to FrankJ!
