One of those protesters needs to negotiate better.
Let me be serious for a moment, instead of being Burmashave for a moment. What’s playing out here is a disparity of organization, and it’s one of the reasons why I think Romney will win. These nit wits can’t drum up 10 of the Borg on short notice. On the other, other hand, when Axelrod visited Boston on short notice, Team Romney was able to speed dial a group of supporters who promptly showed up as my German professor would say, Mit Gefühl!.
Romney’s ground organization will translate to get out the vote effort. Obama didn’t need a get out the vote operation in ’08. He needs ground organization now, and he obviously doesn’t have it. Neither does the DNC seem to be providing it — perhaps because Obama is such a DNC outsider.
For better or worse, I now return to being Burmashave.
