I think a lot of the harmful stuff in Obamacare doesn’t go into effect until Obama is potentially out of office. It will be like his last revenge if we can’t defuse that bomb.
Only 13? I beg to differ. I found at least 25 new taxes and penalties in the copy posted on Healthcare.gov (a friend of mine says 26, because I’m counting one of them twice).
On the other hand, it’s a long, long, long, confusing, misleading, deliberately badly written bill that will have people arguing over what it is for years. I keep hearing different numbers: 13 new taxes, 21 new taxes — it seems to depend on how much of the horrible bill you manage to get through.
The one thing I didn’t find, though, was any universal healthcare system. Everyone I know here (in cloud cuckoo-land, otherwise known as San Francisco) believes Obamacare is some kind of socialized, “free” medicine. It’s no such thing. Like the Supremes ruled, it’s a tax — or more accurately, a whole bunch of new taxes.
…and, he’ll be living somewhere as a millionaire, with all the mystery money he’s acquired despite never actually having any real…umm, employment…
Actually there’s more like 21-22 new taxes in it. But don’t ask me to list them.
