I’ve always thought a nice criterion for whether the government should be involved in an activity is whether or not it’s worth pointing a gun at somebody’s head to get accomplished, and taxes are the reason for that.
Of course, some folks will ask “well, don’t different people have different criteria for what IS so important as to do that?”
Of course we all do … it’s just when you phrase it that way and the “progressives” don’t flinch, you’ve found yourself a nice little psycho/socio-path detector…
