[Wobbly Circles – Numberphile] (Viewer #133,913)
The first part was pretty cool, because I had no idea you could roll 2 circles like that.
However, I got bored & checked out by about 3:30, but if you want, you can hang out & stay for the trig lesson.

Thanks for these mind-exercise videos, Basil.
Just for the heck of it, I stuck through the trig lesson, which reminded me how the principle of similar triangles should be used. Haven’t used it since Trig class, but nice to re-learn.
They wussed out towards the end, didn’t continue showing the math, just fast forwarded. Too late at that point to be excusable.
Basil?
Sorry, Harvey. I thought it was a Basil post.
… because you guys have those similar “try” angles . . .
@2 – Oppo – Oh, it’s too late to apologize now. I see how it is around here… Basil’s “the smart one”. HMPF!
*storms off in a huff*
Now I’ve done it.
Anonymiss, help me out here.
@5 Oppo – I’m not sure how to help. If Harvey’s hipster-like whiskers don’t lend the appearance of intelligence greater-than-or-equal-to Baby-Face-Basil’s…I’m not sure what can.
They certainly make ME think he’s super smart.
Huh.
Maybe he needs to wear some thick-framed-glasses and look thoughtfully into the distance?
Hmm. I like glasses.
*Thinks really hard*
Hey, how ’bout this?
*Brings out freshly baked cookies*
Cookies for everybody!
(Does that help?)
@Anonymiss:
Thank Gawd for your cookies. They’ll absolutely make Harvey forget everything that preceded them.
And, they’ll save me from digging a deeper hole, with Basil this time, by saying, “No no Harvey, see, I think of you as the funny one!”
Too late, everybody. All mine! I scarfed ’em.
