Forget the dog-eating and the crazy Wright and Ayers stuff — I agree with Allahpundit that the main attack against Obama in this campaign is that he went after Obamacare at the expense of the country’s economic recovery. The country needs a pragmatist — and not an inept one — and our problems of unemployment and high gas prices are just never going to be that interesting to Obama. Instead, he’s always going to want to focus on making a legacy of left-wing accomplishments that the country doesn’t even want. That the message that will win and needs to be hammered over and over while ignoring all other distractions. Obama has demonstrated he just won’t ever focus on our country’s real problems when he has other, shinier issues to go after.
Plus, he may eat our children’s pets.

Obama likes shiny things and eating dogs. Let’s tie shiny, jingly keys to a greyhound and let it off the chain infront of him.
Inasmuch as I am loathe to disagree with AllahPundit (note sarcasm), he’s only partly right. The official campaign needs to hammer Obama on the economy. I’m not sure how much response he’d get from focusing on Obamacare.
On the other hand, I think some of the 501c’s should go after character issues. One of the reasons I don’t think Obama will win — barring a rallying October surprise — is that much of his draw in ’08 was based on Obama as Messiah. That’s been played out, and third party attacks on his character will knock the messiah factor further down.
Let me simplify. Republicans and conservatives will have money this go around. Why bring only a laser cannon to a knife fight when you could bring the dinosaur as well?
There has been no mention yet of how many of our health care plans have become much less affordable after the affordable health care act was passed. My employer blamed the increases on Obamacare’s mandatory coverage for adult children. The cost of my insurance had doubled over the last 2 years.
Dude! He ate a dog!!
