Time to Test Our Right-Wing Power

The Frank man is back, and I just finished reading the comments to my proposal to demand an apology from a random Democrat Senator. Unfortunately, the Democrats seems to have stole my idea in demanding and apology from Karl Rove. Still, I think my scheme has a better chance of success. I still need a good target and statement, though.
Commenter Patel suggested that we go after a Senator who is vulnerable in 2006 and listed Sarbanes (MD), Conrad (ND), or Byrd (WV). Byrd is too obvious, so I say Sarbanes or Conrad. I think a statement about the war would be best to misconstrue and get all angry about. I don’t have the time to do all the footwork here, so, if people put quote from Sarbanes and Conrad in the comments, we can settle on one and get this test of the Right-Wing Noise Machine started.

  1. How about one of those good for nothing RINOs? Voinovich is always up for crying public. And Hagel is in a bleeding red state (Nebraska) near the Thune right-wing machine (South Dakota), so a conservative upset is totally possible. Otherwise, I still like Lanrieu in Louisiana, maybe b/c I hate her in a personal way. Oh, there’s also on the Dem. side Patty Murray from Washington, who gave a speech to high schoolers, like, two months after 9/11 talking about how beloved and kind Osama is. She’s a delight.

  2. I know both of those are up for re-election, but maybe we want to concentrate on ripping a dem for getting a seat for another republican. We can also attack those who are close to beating a republican that currently holds a seat, or on a race that is a close matchup right now for a republican that can take a seat from a Dem. This would also apply to any close race on an open seat.
Darn, I’ve got to dig out my Vast Right Wing Conspiracy membership card here and check for a support number to get examples…
