I wake up to news of coordinated terrorist bombings in the very London subway system I have used in the recent past. Like Frank said, terrorism should piss us off rather than scare us and I am pissed off for sure.
In spite of the fact that terrorists are usually male Arab Muslims between the ages of 18-45, the press conference in London has been careful not to implicate any group, even the most obvious–Al Qaeda. There is no shortage of hateful whackjob Muslims in London who are abusing the United Kingdom’s very liberal freedom of speech laws and who admire Al Qaeda and advocate the destruction of the very society that allows them to speak such madness.
If Al-Qaeda is behind the London subway bombings, I doubt that England will roll over like the Spainards did on 3/11. God save the Queen and up the irons, England!
It will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings. Will the idiot anti-free market communists protesting in Scotland take to the streets to protest Al-Qaeda tomorrow or will they claim “the West had it coming”?
Ooooooh, if that happens I say it’s open season on hippie protestors everywhere.

It’s tough making ‘light’ of such a situation, but could you imagine if it were the Paris 2012 Committee that was behind it?!?
I know, I suck
I use to live in Russell Square and I have to say that when I saw it on tv I got really pissed off. It seemed really close to home as I use to walk down that street everyday to go to school. It’s just goes to show that IMAO is right in that we can’t just roll over and when one of us are hit then we all are.
Actually that was jokingly suggested on the morning radio show I was listening to on the way to work.
I’d have a lot more confidence in the Brits reacting to these attacks in the correct (non-Spanish) way, if only ol’ Winston were still around.
Don’t worry about us. Winston’s still with us in spirit.
Blair maybe a leftie, but he won’t wobble on this. We’re no Spain.
It’s business as usual in London chaps. We’re ok.
Life goes on
I actually thought eco-terrorists were a strong possibility. They are usually the ones causing trouble at the G8 meetings.
Open season indeed.
My heart goes out to all of our cousins in the UK and especially London. Be strong, keep that stiff upper lip. America is with you.
I wonder if the Kos kids will link this attack to Bush by claiming that he (Bush) somehow orchestrated the attacks to deflect the news away from the “alleged” Plame scandal. Or, maybe the Kos kids will say that Rove himself had something to do with it to confuse the news agencies.
Mark my words, soon the loony left will link this attack to the Bush administration and have it relate to the whole Plame, Rove, Novack, O’Donnel mess being curently swept under the rug by the conservative media. Oh, and Haliburton!
Ted, unfortunetly they’re way ahead of you. If you want to be infuriated and disgusted to your core, go to DU. Those *sshats should all be deported!
THis attack makes me hope that I get deployed even more, which is not likely for the time being as my unit was in Iraq and back before I even signed up, but I can tell everyone this; when (and if) I am over there, I will kill a few camel jockeys over there for all of yous (can’t help, I’m from Chicago).
What really irritates me is that Justin Raimondo and other assorted idiots are already saying “It was the Jooooos!!!”
Egghead-
That sounds typical. No matter what happened, it’s always the Jooos’ fault.
