While reading a story on Reuters about where the folks in Gaza get all those Danish flags to burn, I noticed this interesting tidbit…
Abu Dayya sources some of his flags from suppliers in Taiwan, but he buys Israeli flags from a merchant in Israel, even though he sells them to be burnt at anti-Israeli rallies.
Politics, schmolitics – there’s a sale to be made.
I’m sure this is giving FrankJ some ideas.
Jesus! Someone get these people a paper route or something. Does a day go by in “Palestinian”-Occupied Israel that there isn’t a protest?
Maybe if they got jobs, they could figure out that there are other things to get pissed about than cartoons.
Like having your Ham Sandwich stolen from the office fridge. Heh.
At least the Israeli fellow believes in free-speech. I wonder what the bastards in Gaza would do if you bought a “Palestinian” flag from a “Palestinian” shop and burned it. Probably burn the flag shop with the owner in it.
I remember back in late 1980’s a similar incident. Brian Bosworth, known as “The Boz,” was playing for Oklahoma and was the most detested athelete in the Big 8. For sale at many places were “No Boz-os” shirts with the classic circle with a line through it and a picture of Bozo the Clown. The shirt sales dropped when it was rumored that the producer of the shirts was Bosworth himself.
Israel needs to sell the Palestine a few “hemp” flags. The smoke from those will put a groovy feel to their protests.
Either that or some TNT laced ones.
James T –
Oh, yes, I remember Brian Bosworth. He was really easy to recognize; just look for the linebacker being run over by Bo Jackson.
Imagine if we slipped a few flags in made from something mildly explosive?
