An alien race came to Earth looking for an advanced life form. First they happened to visit the DNC when all the candidates were there.
They were about to leave and mark Earth as not containing intelligent life when they saw the glow from Tennessee, they thought it was the nest of that sub-intelligent life form known as Algore.
For curiosity’s sake they decided do do a flyover. To their amazement they found Fred Thompson. They marveled at the glow coming from Fred. It was the glow of a higher intellect! Here was the supreme intelligence on Planet Earth!
They went to speak with him. Fred took one look at them and spoke in that mighty voice of his, “What a bunch of morons.”
With that he took their starship and shot putted it into the sun.
