1) Fred is lazy and isn’t campaigning hard enough. Taking New Year’s off to watch football may have been a mistake.
2) Fred is campaigning really hard but most people simply don’t like the guy.
3) Fred is campaigning really hard but people are missing his conservative message.
4) He is reaching enough people and it will show in the results today – they may even liked that he watched football on New Year’s Day.
If it is 3 or 4 then Fred still has a shot but he will absolutely need a SC win after placing a strong third in Iowa today. He doesn’t have enough time to make up his weak polling in Michigan and NH. Hmm.. Zogby’s latest Iowa poll better be wrong because it now shows Ron Paul at 10% and Fred at just 11%.
