K-Lo has up a thank you to the Fred Thompson, a must read for Fred Thompson supporters. It was nice to have the possibility of electing a politicians who actually gets it.

And now you know the rest of the story…
Well, that about does it…Fred is gone, Bill Richardson is gone. It brings me no joy to say it, but for the first time in my adult life, I think I’ll be sitting out this presidential election; my conscience won’t allow a vote for ANY of the remaining candidates.
A no vote is a pull on the blue handle and a big Yea for socialism. Ya punk. Nothing personal. Grow up and go vote for a party. Nothing personal.
Well, I don’t think this country is capable of electing someone of singular character. Because this country is full of pusses. I’m going to hate to see them when things get rough because we are about as far from rough as you can get.
At least McCain will treat the military wiht respect, and won’t put 3 more tweety birds on the freakin Supreme Court.
There are men who are so weak they cry at night.
There are men who are so weak they do drugs.
There are men who are so weak they drink constantly.
There are men who are so weak they hide.
John McCain is not like these men. John McCain
is strong, mighty, fierce, brave and unimaginably smart.
You are one of the lucky ones.
You live in a country where you can
vote for a man like John McCain.

Dammit! I bet if Fred(!) knew IMAO would get McCain trolls running in as soon as he dropped out, he’d never have done it. Someone go tell him.
“fierce”
Nothing says “fierce” like calling the people of this nation “Those loud people”.
Maverick ’08: Who cares what you loud people think?
May I suggest some Hayley Westenra to cheer everyone up?
Thompson would have had my vote when the otherwise lame republican field come to Missouri. The sad fact is that America is asleep to the ills which will be caused by the American left. Except for maybe Romney on a few issues there is not difference between the left and the current republican front runners. Therefore I think it is in America’s best interest to see a leftard in the white house. In this manner the leftard will remind the country what they are all about. This will awaken those of us whose head is firmly planted in the sand and just as jummy carter changed the american political landscape in four short years, so will the current leftard. Although it will result in a stagnant economy and a few nanny-state programs. We will once again wake up and pave the way for a Reagan like landslide in 2012. We can only hope that Iran does not have the bomb by then.
Oh well, Thanks anyway, FDT! Better fortune next time.

Thanks, that was nice for about 4 minutes. Then it’s back to harsh and unforgiving reality. I wish it wasn’t winter. I need to go fishing.

Try alternating between Westenra and something with some really aggressive screaming, crashing, clashing guitars all day. Thats what I’ve spent most of my day doing, and I’m pretty much numb to harsh and unforgiving reality now.
I just combined Hayley with Ace of Spades. Tommorow I’ll do Metallica with Hayley.
Wow. That’s kinda like Charlotte Church going on tour with Sepeltura…
And I’d totally go see a show like that.
BTW, thanks AR. I’d never seen or heard her before. She reminds me of those Celtic hotties they show on PBS around the holidays.
K-Lo’s article, while nice, was too little too late. National Review, K-Lo included, could have done the conservative movement a real service had they endorsed Thompson rather than selling them selves to Johnny-come-lately Romney whose jail-house-Jesus conversion to the conservative cause came just in time for the primaries.
Fred Thompson gave us the hope of having a solid, sincere conservative in office. So did Duncan Hunter. True freedom!
It’s rumored that the Maverick™ is my state Senator, but President Bush has spent more time here than McCain has. Strangely, the Maverick™ is loved much more in blue states than he is in his own. Maybe #3 and 4 should try to find out why.
You know, John McCain was aboard the USS Forrestal when a rocket misfire hit his plane, starting bombs to explode and a fire that killed over 100 of his shipmates. McCain barely escaped.
A couple of weeks later his A-4 was shot down over North Vietnam, beginning a stretch in The Hanoi Hilton that lasted over five years. McCain barely survived.
Is this guy lucky or what? I’m inclined to think “or what” is more likely. How about you? Do you feel lucky…punk? Well, do you?
House of Eratosthenes has tagged you. Help choose the Fred Thompson columns that express the message the best.
One day there will be Fred Thompson…?
