I’m trying to understand some polls I read this week:
- Only 27% of Americans say the U.S. will remain the most powerful nation.
- 47% of likely voters approve (30% strongly approve + 17% approve) of Obama’s job performance.
I find that interesting. And disturbing.
Look at that again: Only 27% say we’re remain the most powerful nation, while 47% approve of Obama.
If all 27% are part of that 47%, then 20% of Americans recognize and are okay with the weakening of our country.
But, I don’t believe that all 27% are Obama supporters. I suspect most of them think we’ll remain strong despite Obama.
If none of those are Obama supporters, then 47% of Americans recognize and are okay with the weakening of our country.
At least 1/5 — and possibly almost 1/2 — of this country recognizes that Obama is weakening the nation … and are okay with that.
This is why I’m an angry conservative.

That is because of Government Education. They have dumb down the American people. When we take back America we have to take back our schools too. We have to remove the Socialist educators in our classrooms. We have to clean up our colleges and universities as well. Get rid of lifetime jobs for educators.
The public, er, govt. school brainwashing has taken it’s toll.

Remember also that probably a majority of those polled either (1) don’t speak English well enough to understand the question, (2) will vote however the mass “news” media tells them to vote; (3) will stand on their feet for all 2 hours of a Barry Manilow concert but not for a 5 minute singing of the National Anthem; and/or (4) vote as many times for a Democrat POTUS candidate as they do for the next American Idol…and care much more about the latter.
My boss is a self-described capitalist “former Republican” who: voted R in 2008 (because of McCain, not Palin); listens to NPR daily; hates GWB with a passion (see previous); and said just yesterday that he will probably vote for Obama next time. *sigh* Make of that what you will.
