Nuke the News: War on Honesty

* Puerto Rico had its primary over the weekend, and Mitt Romney won it with 83.4% of the vote. Rick Santorum, who also campaigned in Puerto Rico, came in second with 7.7%. Maybe he would have done better if he hadn’t traveled over there to tell them to speak English.

Anyway, still no end to this primary. Our nominee is going to be Mitt Romney, but we still have to do this dance a while longer. I now hate primaries.

* The Supreme Court will soon hear arguments on Obamacare. This will be a case about whether the government can just arbitrarily force you to buy stuff, i.e., it will be a case on whether the Constitution’s limitation of the federal government means anything at all.

If Obamacare is upheld by the Supreme Court, look on the bright side: We can start thinking up all the things we want to force liberals to buy next time conservatives are in power. You don’t have to bitterly cling to guns and the Bible, but you do have to own them.

* The RNC has released a video on Obama’s War on Women:

Liberals have this idea that if they repeat something enough and hear other liberals in their insular groups repeat the same thing, then they’ve convinced the whole country of something. That’s pretty much what’s gone on with their silly “War on Women” charges; with how they’re trying to equate not being able to force people to buy contraceptives with a ban on contraceptives, I find it better characterized as a “War on Good Faith Arguments.” And I just find it very dishonest with liberals pretend to care about something other than their inane politics.

I grew to hate “Killing” so much I am going to stand by my TV during the 2nd season, turn off the set, and actively NOT WATCH IT.

* So, what’s everyone sense of things for the 2012 presidential election? Do you think Obama will be reelected, or do you think the fact that everyone knows he’s not very good at being president — or any sort of leader — will be too much of a hindrance for him?

  1. If Kagan’s not compeled to recuse herself on the Obamacare case, then no judge anywhere ought to for any reason. She was an active adviser in getting the damn thing together. This is insane.

    Glad you asked!

My perspective is that Romney will get the nomination, and will then run an amazingly awful campaign. Meanwhile, America the economic recover goes on and job growth continues, support for Obama will increase further. This, combined with a well-designed, financed and executed Obama campaign will result in Obama getting four more years in the White House, and give the Democrats a very decent shot at not only holding the Senate, but taking back the House.

Despite all this, you will continue to delude yourself into thinking that Obama is not very smart, and has been an “incompetent” president. And I predict that you will will continue to play a lot of video games that involve you pretending that you are killing things.

    Best Regards,

  3. While it might be nice to get to the stage where we can get back to only bashing Obama, the problem with the primaries ending and Romney winning is that Romney is only marginly better than Obama. There’s nearly many reasons to bash Romney as to bash Obama.

  4. All of these bozos running for President suck out loud. They should just nominate me. I promise to be everything the hippies claimed Bush was. My State of the Union addresses will consist of me forcing a democrat to eat a bug on live TV. I will find Osama’s skull and turn it into a paper weight for the resolute desk. I will dig up Teddy Kennedy and have him burried face down so his nose will point in the direction of where he’ll be spending eternity. I’ll nuke the moon before the Chicoms get there, and when they do, they’ll be greeted by dinosaurs with rocket launchers.

  5. I believe Obama will be re elected due to one major factor. Massive voter fraud.

With 1.8 million dead voters on the rolls, and 2.7 million voters registered to vote in more than one state, and growing use of the absentee ballot, coupled with Eric Holder’s war on Voter ID laws, it is very clear how Obama will be re elected.

  7. Santorum told the Puerto Ricans to learn English? That’s weird, to remain a protectorate of the United States, they have to teach everybody English in schools in Puerto Rico, that’s the law.
I got to pass through Puerto Rico a couple of times with the Army Reserves thanks to Joint Task Force Aurora, the least classified military mission since God let the spoon fly off the big bang. Ft. Buchanan looks like it might be kind of a neat place.
