How Did the TSA Bungle This Badly?

At JFK Airport, hundreds of passengers had to be re-screened because one TSA agent failed to realize his metal detector had been unplugged.

Surprisingly, Obama didn’t give him a green energy grant for saving electricity.

  1. You know what would have solved this problem before it started? More government spending… The screener probably just drank a 32 oz soda before coming to work which has over twice the calories and sugar of the much healthier 16 oz beverage.

  2. So, they evacuated the terminal. “It’s a big inconvenience, but it’s better safe than sorry”. Sure, sure, but on the other hand, what if it’s better to be sorry? That ironclad adage is the bane of our liberty.

  3. and his name was……Alija Abdul Majed pure coincidence I’m sure. I’m willing to bet that during WWII, there weren’t people name Harry Hitler or Joe Yamamoto working in this kind of job….. And I’m also willing to bet that if a person with an IQ above 70 worked for the TSA, there would be no way to “un-plug” a metal detector. Did they bother to check if there were other people with names like Abdul or Barack on the plane after this? I wonder where they stashed the knives.
