Our Awesome Flag

On Flag Day, I like to think of how we have American flags on the moon.

There’s pretty much no better way to show our country is more awesome than other countries than by having our flag all the way up on the moon. I bet, though, that if we landed on the moon for the first time today, we wouldn’t plant an American flag there because that would be too nationalistic. “The moon is for everyone!” Of course, along with our more sensitive mentality, we are also currently incapable of reaching the moon. Something to think about.

Man, I hope landing on the moon wasn’t our country jumping the shark.

  1. Actually, the country ‘electing’ a person who is the embodiment of the 2 biggest enemies most of us have faced in our lifetime, (communism and people with names like Barack or Hussein or Obama) was the shark jumping moment. The fact that there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that he might even be RE ‘elected’ shows this country is done.

If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth.

  2. What we’ll not see again are the 60’s — not the hippies in the media — but the vast majority who were working. It was a time of what I call aggressive optimism. That American spirit got Americans to the moon where American astronauts rightfully planted American flags.
