So Obama is sending out emails and tweeting that “I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent in his re-election campaign.” To which my first reaction was “Have you tried whining about it?”
I hear Obama outspent McCain 3 to 1, but I never complained about that. It’s not like if Obama could afford one more commercial was it going to be enough to convince me to vote for that know-nothing. Of course, there was a lot of enthusiasm behind Obama then as there was no reality to dampen it, but we’ve had three and a half years of seeing what Obama is actually like in charge so it’s no wonder people aren’t as enthusiastic to shower him with money. It’s like a guy came into my house and started punching me in the face and then said, “I’ll punch you in the face some more for $100.” And I’d be like, “No, I’m not giving you money for that.” But if then someone else came up and said, “For $100, I’ll take that guy who was punching you in the face and throw him out on the street and kick him a few times.” I’d be like, “Yeah! Sure! Here’s a $100. And here’s a $50 tip on top of that.” And that’s why Romney is raising so much money; it’s not that people like Romney so much as they really don’t like that guy punching them in the face and they want to see that guy suffer.
So, if Obama doesn’t like getting outspent, he could try not sucking so much so people might consider supporting. But that’s too hard and whining is easy.
So, when Obama’s team was bragging that they would have the first billion dollar campaign and be outspending his opponent by massive amounts, all was right with the world. Now that no one is donating to his campaign because he sucks, and Romney will have a bigger war chest than him…wah, wah, wah…
But, hey. Some polls continue to show he’s ‘more likable than Romney,’ so he has that.

Obama is such a ridiculous poser that the more he is on TV the less popular he becomes. Maybe we should hope he outspends Romney.
More money means more time on television telling unemployed people how well the economy is doing.
More time insisting that what he has done over the last three years to screw up the economy and foreign policy will work if we double down with another 4 years.
More opportunity to explain how for every promise he made he did just the opposite.
More time for him to look imperial and unamused on TV.
More chance for us to see through the fake plastic gilded “classy” he slaps on everything like a trailer park queen who won the lottery.

Jimmy, Unfortunately for obumer most of the polled that find him more likeable that Romney are illegals, people on the dole and idiots that have no money to give to his campaign. Yaaa for for Romney, I’ll send him a few buck so he can continue to out spend o.
Obama has just issued an executive order mandating that Romney cease all campaign spending unless it is for the Obama relelection. Should Romney violate this executive order and spend any funds in any non-Obama manner, Eric Holder has orders to arrest Romney immediately. Unnamed White House sources are also saying that further executive orders may be issued declaring any SCOTUS decisions unfavorable to Obama to be null and void and that Obama has already won reelection for life.

That 3 to 1 only counts traditional campaign spending, so it doesn’t represent reality. A true measure of campaign spending would need to include the entire operating budget of msnbc, current tv, CNN . . .
Presidential auto-burn? Obama is smart enough to realize that he’s advertising his massive drop in popularity, right?

Jimmy, what makes you think the folks who say they like Il Douche actually like him? They say that so they won’t be called racist by the Ogabe Steno Pool. It’s the same reason he got so many votes in the 2008 election: people had to prove they weren’t racist. Now that the independents and middle-roaders have proved they aren’t racist, they’ll vote against Ear Leader to show they aren’t stupid.
I hope you’re right Danny and Ogrrre – because the next four years are going to get ugly enough with Romney as President.
