…and to our active military, we’re praying that conservatives can take back our party, and then our government so that someone will finally fight for your right to vote.
Thank you Harvey for putting your life on the line then.
Even more, thank you for fighting the good fight now. We need you now more than ever.

I didn’t do it for the glory. I never asked for a thank you, and I still feel a little uncomfortable when people say “thank you” to me about it.
I went because it was the right thing for me to do. It was a crappy time, and we were spit on in airports, cursed in public, and nobody cared about us when we got home. But we cared about each other! We fought for each other! We carried each other… I’m glad the soldiers today are treated better than we were, and I’ll go the extra mile for them every time. I just hope you younger guys can make sure I never have to join the fight again…. next time I fight there won’t be any rules of engagement.
Harvey. I put my time in during Vietnam, 69 – 70. I don’t count ?
Harvey, never mind, I not to sure I understand the last sentence thou.
@7 – I was in the Navy from 85 to 91, and the thing that kept me sane during all that time steaming through foreign waters was knowing that, back home in America, things were normal, and when I finished my hitch, I could go back and enjoy some of that normal myself.
The people who voted for Obama are not included in the “people worth serving” category, since they’re not keeping America normal.
