A minor league baseball team in Alabama canceled a “Second Amendment Night” promotion after receiving national criticism for their plan to raffle three weapons.
Also unpopular: the replacement theme of “Unarmed Victims Robbed in the Parking Lot Night”.
Cancelling the Second Amendment, shouldn’t give Obama any ideas.
They could have Zimmeman Is Guilty Night and send a donation to Bryan Stow.
if “national criticism” is enough to cancel the raffle, would criticism of the unarmed cause a “gun give away night”? the first 150 people get the S&W of their choice and the grand prize winner gets a Barrett .50.
what do you think?
Ironically, in Texas, concealed carry permits are not valid at sporting venues. Extra double super-ironic points since Texas Motor Speedway hosts the NRA 500 NASCAR race and it’s a crime to have firearms at the event.
I planned to attend the game when they announced the gun raffle and canceled those plans when the team canceled the raffle.
