People are very hungry for something new. I think they are interested in being called to be a part of something larger than the sort of small, petty, slash-and-burn politics that we have been seeing over the last several years.
BARACK OBAMA, Los Angeles Times, Dec. 11, 2006
“To find out what that ‘something larger’ is, we’re monitoring everyone’s incoming calls.”
I think they are interested in being called to be a part of something larger…
Here’s something larger: Depression-era soup lines.
Unemployment stats are larger now,
Mortgages are larger,
Tea Party groups are getting pretty big, too.
You know I used to be part of something larger, it was the greatest, most free and creative nation to ever exist. Still trying to figure out what happened to it and how it ended up as a picture on the side of milk carton.
“Something larger than the sort of small, petty, slash-and burn politics that we have been seeing over the last several years”
“– like the massive, gargantuan-scale slash-and-burn politics you will see in the next couple of years.”
“Group W Bench”. Good one, Harvey. I still have my LP from 1967. You ol’ hippie, you.
If he’s a hippy does that mean he has to punch himself?
@4 – I grew out of being an idiot hippie before I turned 18. Then I joined the Navy, got a decent haircut, and never looked back.
