*I* have a duty to run away from criminals?? So they now have more rights than I do? Maybe I’m just on the wrong side of the law. Criminals have the right to threaten people and force them to retreat, have access to government handouts and the entire weight of not only the justice system but the “social justice mob” and all I have is a duty to run away and pay for it all.
Soooo…is he saying that Trayvon should have retreated? After all, according to the testimony, he started the fight with Zimmerman when he felt threatened because Zimmerman followed him.

Trayvon started the fight and Zimmerman was held on the ground and could not retreat.
So if I have Holder’s statement understood properly, Zimmerman should have let Trayvon kill him.
Apparently any use of force to protect oneself from an urban thug is automatically excessive and this is before any action is taken.

Sorry, Eric, but I have no “duty” to retreat, whether the menacing thug is one of “your people” or not. Your pet oxygen thieves have a duty to exercise good citizenship. If they refuse their duty, then they are target practice, as far as I am concerned. In fact, the more, the merrier, and the safer society will be.
