I find Sarah to be a refreshing change from the usual right-wing end-of-the-world doom & gloomism. Give it a read.

  1. Too bad she is mostly wrong. The Problem is systemic and will have global reach. Her thesis is based on the idea there is an “outside” to go to, or have help come from. Those people will have problems of their own. She is right that we aren’t going back to the middle ages, but at best, we will descend into the lifestyle of most of the third world. 1/2 of Americans are resilient, and yes will survive. The other half are entitled, stupid, and utterly unable to cope with that is coming. This is pretty much a guaranteed recipe for war. You probably won’t be making your own flintlocks. You very probably WILL be eating Squirrel. Being able to provide defense, water, food, power, and fuel for yourself will be a huge asset. No, you can’t go it alone, and you will need like minded individuals to survive, and not having the ability to provide for yourself will disqualify you from the group. (Sorry lefties, you aren’t in the group because you don’t know how to earn your keep. You don’t even think you need to. . Guess you shouldn’t have spent the last couple of decades bulling others with their own govt. and then expect those people to help you out when times are tough. Go Ask Obama. ) Govt services will collapse. Everything else will be sporadic and unpredictable. Yes, we will recover and not its not the end of the world. Its the end of the world as we have known it. Its going to last decades, 100’s of Millions are going to die, and there just isn’t a way around it at this point.
