  1. That’s a mere $120 per working person, oh wait, 50% of working people pay no federal taxes, ok, it’s a mere $240 per person. Cue Sally Struthers…..

    Currently, the Medicaid program provides health care coverage to about 71.7 million individuals at an annual cost of about $431.1 billion.

    that’s $6012.55 per individual
    How ironic, I have to pay $6000+/year for my no deductible health insurance in MA, one of the highest insurance cost states.
    So for the price of “free” insurance, they could buy every one of them a good policy with a few billion left over and the insurance companies would have to hire thousands of new employees.
    That must be why they won’t do it.
