158 Democrats Voted Against Deporting ‘Non-Citizens’ Who Commit Violence Against Women

dailycaller.com| September 19, 2024 | Henry Rodgers

One-hundred fifty-eight House Democrats voted Wednesday against a resolution put forward by South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace that would designate noncitizens convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence inadmissible to and deportable from the U.S.

Two-hundred fifteen Republicans voted in favor of the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, with no one in the party opposing it. Meanwhile, only 51 Democrats voted in favor of the resolution, with 158 voting against it. Mace, who introduced the resolution, told the Daily Caller that “158 Left-wing members of Congress just voted against deporting rapists, pedophiles and murderers of women and kids.”

Biden calls Kamala Harris ‘boss’ and JD Vance ‘secretary’ in meandering remarks at gun control event
NY Post | 9/26/24 | Steven Nelson

WASHINGTON — President Biden referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as his “boss” Thursday and used the wrong job title — “secretary” — for Ohio Sen. and Trump’s running mate JD Vance at an event where he signed executive orders creating new gun control task forces.

The retiring 81-year-old president delivered meandering remarks to a roomful of guests at the White House, saying that “I’ve been to all but three mass shootings in the United States of America” before deploying an attack against the Republican vice presidential candidate that’s been debunked by fact checkers.

Biden tore into Vance, 40, for allegedly shrugging off mass shootings as a fact of life in America — even though the full context of the Republican’s remarks make clear he was saying the opposite.

“I’m going to be very blunt, Secretary Vance of Ohio has called these shootings facts of life. Who the hell do these people think they are?” the president fumed.

Music Trivia

Read this on the internet, so it must be true:

Hank Ballard never really got the attention he deserved.

He wrote The Twist, as you likely know, but Chubby turned it into a mega hit and made lots of money.

Little side note on that Chubby vs. Hank story. McDonald’s used the Hank Ballard version of the song in a commercial. Chubby sued.

McDonald’s defense was: We paid the guy who wrote it and released it first.

Chubby countered with: ‘yeah, but I made it famous.’

Chubby lost!! LOL. Deservedly so.

My Use Today of the Words “Nay” and “Joy”

Those words get full employment today, unlike legal citizens.

I just unrealized that IMAO has unrealized income that could — nay, should — be taxed.

To wit (to misuse a word):

Someone could, potentially, donate one million dollars to the website. That has not happened, but it could, conceivably. Men are fond of interns. Therefore, the prudent thing to do is tax IMAO for the unrealized income. 48% or more.

Joy!

Straight Line of the Day: If Your Home Was Demolished After Two Months of Confusion and Mixed Signals From County Officials, …

Georgia carpenter ‘stripped of his dignity’ by cruel officials who demolished his house without any warning
Daily Mail | 9/27/24

A skilled carpenter’s Georgia home was unexpectedly demolished without any notice or compensation from the county.

Eric Arnold, from New Jersey, decided to pack up and move to Georgia to live where his mother grew up. He took on multiple home renovation projects, including the property in Macon-Bibb County.

He bought the house in 2022 for $15,000 and started improving it to make it a future home for his children and grandchildren.

But his plans were shattered when a neighbor called Arnold to ask about a dumpster that had been placed on his property.

After two months of confusion and mixed signals from country [sic] officials, Arnold’s home was demolished on November 15, 2023.

Registered that morning as a Republican, did he?

“He told the Institute for Justice: ‘I felt a bad vibe that something was wrong and I felt it right through the spirit of my soul.

‘That’s when all hell broke loose.’ “

Hey, zzyzx: I’d work up an ol’ Number Seven on them.
