Why would they say something? I imagine our ideas are not too different from there own. By the way, the biggest hurdle for Northwest Florida, is that it is too cold in the spring. Can we speed up the warming?

Of course they didn’t thank us for the tips. Emailing back takes energy, And energy is created by drilling in Anwar, clubbing seals, slashing rainforests, and setting baby polar bears on fire.
Emailing must be used solely for purposes that will help Gaia the most; fundraising to heighten Al Gore’s profile, so he can get more money for speaking events on a subject that he knows nothing about.

I’m a little surprised they haven’t yelled and screamed and threatened you. Liberals don’t tend to take resistance lightly. After all, you are subverting the good intentions of lots of well meaning people! (Any by you I also mean me! Yahoo!)
Come on, Harvey, you didn’t actually expect a response, did you? The whole idea of soliciting ideas and input publically is a typical exercise in ‘feel-goodism’; giving folks the illusion that they are involved and that their ideas matter.
One thing that I like to do is to go to town-hall style meetings held by my congress-folks. I ask them to “please describe an occassion where your position changed as a result of one of these meetings.” No takers so far. Same idea as this WE thing – ‘let the puppies yap.’
