In my new column, as opposed to a national conversation on race, I propose we try a national shutting up.
Also, not talking about race will be a bigger adjustment for some than for others. Presumably, Al Sharpton will starve to death. But his will hopefully be a sacrifice toward a better, more functional society.

Meh. Old line from me: Racism is like a two year old using dirty words. You tell the kid to stop doing it, he’ll do it more often to get attention. Most time the best solution is to just cross your fingers and ignore the kid until he gets bored with it and forgets it.
