One… Trillion… Dollars!

I didn’t know Google has a 3d modeling software, but some guy used it to visually show us what Obama’s economic plan looks like.

  1. Seems reasonable to me. Obama’s 47 years old and never had a real job. His socialist friend holds the morgage on his house. So, he’s never actually managed even the simplest corporate budget, or even had to worry about balancing his own personal checkbook. It would make perfect sense that when he starts writing checks adding up to trillions of dollars that everyone should assume he has a clue what he’s doing, right? Okay, maybe not.

  2. The model was done using $100 bills; the last picture is actually only 10-billion bills, each of them worth $100.

Now look at the picture again, and multiply it by 100: 5x longer, 5x wider, and 4x higher.

    Now you have 1-trillion bills.

  3. You racist crackers! This is not about money! It is about Michael Steele and Rush Limbaugh! Get your head back into the game! Rush Limbaugh is ugly and Michael Steele isn’t the head of the Republican Party! Rush Limbaugh is! Rush Limbaugh is the head of the Republican Party, not Michael Steele! Obama saved 25 police officer jobs that would have been eliminated by passing the Stimulus bill and Rush Limbaugh is a fat loser head of the Republican Party poo head!

There, direct from James Carville for you…

  4. SS396 has it right. In the pile supposedly showing 1 billion dollars, he actually is only showing 10 million. The stack is *100 times* too small! What follows is that the 1 trillion dollar stack is also 100 times too small.

Imagine the same thing shown, but stacked 100 deep! THAT’S a trillion dollars.

  5. That’s enough to make you sick, right there. He should have added one more picture of Obama pouring gasoline on it all and lighting it on fire. Then it would have acurately portrayed the stimulus bill.

  6. I would love it if someone who had photoshop skills could put Obama’s face on the Joker from the Dark Knight when he is burning that pile of mob money.

The Voter: You said you were a man of your word…
Obama: Oh, I am. [takes the voter’s cigar and blows on it] I’m only burning your half. [throws the cigar onto the money, which bursts into flames] All you care about is money. This Country deserves a better class of criminal, and I’m gonna give it to ’em. Tell your men they work for me now. This is my country.

  7. Obama’s Economic Plan? Obama’s? Really??

Sounds like a bunch of forgetful conservatives on this website are in total denial that for 6 years the Repubs controlled the Congress and White House, and 2 years more the WH. But then again, it takes Big Men to take responsibility for their actions.

Obama did not sell us on an ill-fated trillion-dollar (not counting human toll) war in Iraq.

Obama’s family did not make personal $billions on the huge rise in oil prices (like the last 2 WH occupants).

Obama did not de-regulate the Insurance and Banking industry and allow them to plunder our financial system.

Obama did not move the American Corporate Workforce overseas.

I think that Rush’s Ditto-Heads should be more concerned with the Sheriff of Nottingham stealing from the POOR to give to the RICH, than the other way around!

    Peace!

Hold on a ding dang minute there Ray.

I am going to ignore the DNC talking points you listed. We could go on and on arguing those so for the sake of time and effort lets just say all those points are valid.

So the solution to all of these bad actions is to compound them with even MORE bad actions?

We wasted trillions we did not have on the war, so lets spend trillion more bailing out the banks/auto companies/anyone else with their hand out.

The banks did stupid things in the 90’s that allowed them to do more stupid things in early 2000’s, so lets give them the power to do even more stupid things.

This is the equivalent of someone getting shot in the lung and someone else coming along and decides the best course of action is to shoot him in the other lung so the damage is “evened” out. According to your argument it was bad government that got us into this mess and now we should rely on bad government is what will get us out of it.

  9. Oh yeah, Ray – you’ve surely nailed it!

Obama did not sell us on an ill-fated trillion-dollar (not counting human toll) war in Iraq.

No, Pres. Bush sold us on a $600-billion, successful war in Iraq. Obama denies the success of that effort, voted for its failure, and now continues it since he has taken the hot seat.

Obama’s family did not make personal $billions on the huge rise in oil prices (like the last 2 WH occupants).

That would be Pres. G.W. Bush, and Pres. W.J. Clinton who made those billions, correct? Wonder where they’re hiding them…

Obama did not de-regulate the Insurance and Banking industry and allow them to plunder our financial system.

That’s correct. It was Sens. Chris Dodd and Barney Frank who did that.

Obama did not move the American Corporate Workforce overseas.

…leaving 92% of all Americans employed, and 70% of illegal aliens also gainfully employed.

Fixed it for ya #18. Otherwise great job!

  11. Sounds like at least we are all in agreement that Obama is not the one to blame for the current financial mess. Now let’s all act like True Americans and support our President, and give his plan a chance before we declare it a failure.

Also, not that it matters, but I’ll say it anyway just for the record — I am not a Democrat. I am a registered Republican with a degree in Economics who has always adhered to the Milton Friedman “Free to Choose” Chicago school of capitalism. I day-traded in the market for several years. I voted for Bush on his first term, because I saw his record in Texas and believed in the man. I didn’t want Gore, who to me was just another Clinton without the problem in his pants (although finacially I did spectacularly in the Clinton years). However, I soon realized what the Bush/Cheney/Rove clan were doing to our Great Country and our Great Constitution … just dragging it through the mud as we gradually lost the respect of the entire world. I have voted Independent or Libertarian since. I will not vote Republican again until my Party stops trying to align itself with blow-hards like Rush Limbaugh, and returns to common sense.

    Peace (I hope …)

  12. Ray : A degree in economics eh. Too much schooling not enough common sense. Again today THE OBAMA blamed every thing on the last administration. When will he (THE OBAMA)grow up and take responsibility for his own actions? THE OBAMA begged for this job for more than two years. I say to him SHUT UP-GROW UP and try doing your job . He is sounding like the kid in school who’s “dog ate my homework” or I didn’t finish the test because “sara’s dress is too short , I can’t concentrate”. THE OBAMA may not be directly responsible for the current economic crisis , But his fellow dems ARE to blame. In 2001 George Bush warned congress of impending trouble , 2006 John McCain warned of a financial meltdown. Both named Fanny mae and Freddie mac as the problem– congress did not act. Infact Barney Frank in 2006 said “Fanny mae and Freddie mac are financialy sound ” . Now we know just how wrong Barney was/is!

  13. Still doesnt justify compounding a bad situation with an even worse situation. Obama’s solution is just bad. He is handling the economy badly. Every time he makes a speech only doom and gloom comes out and makes things even worse.

As a side note. I have a wacky theory that Sarbanes-Oxley was the tipping point for this, and that I blame on the Republicans. Instead of fixing the bad laws passed in the 90’s that kicked started Enron and such they just tried to appease folks with this mess. Bipartisan hell at its best.

We’re being as supportive of Obama (actually more so) as the Dems were of GWB for the past 8 years.

Besides, for the past 8 years Democrats said that dissenting with the President is patriotic; so now that they are in the WH, dissenting is NOT patriotic? What? You mean Dems lied? Or are they just EPIC HYPOCRITES?

  15. Dear Ray,

Sounds like at least we are all in agreement that Obama is not the one to blame for the current financial mess.

Uh, no, I didn’t agree with that at all. Sen. Obama (D) (h/t NunyaB) had a hand in it, when he wasn’t voting “Present”. He did vote for the Community Grants; he did vote against the surge, he did vote for the windfall profits tax, etc. He is reaping what he has sown.

Now let’s all act like True Americans and support our President, and give his plan a chance before we declare it a failure.

His plan has already been declared a failure: vis USSR, vis Venezuela, vis PRC, vis Zimbabwe, vis Cuba, vis Yugoslavia, viz Albania, vis on-and-on-and-on without even going to History.

  16. American and Russian were talking. American says, “In America we have freedom of speech. I can go to the White House, walk into the President’s office, pound on his desk and say, ‘Mr. Reagan, I don’t like how you’re running this country!'” Russian says, “I can do that too! I can go to the Kremlin, walk into the Premier’s office, pound on his desk and say, ‘Mr. Gorbechev, I don’t like how Mr. Reagan is running his country!'”
    – classic Ronald Reagan gag.
