OO! Pick Me! Pick Me! I Know!

[High Praise! to WeaselZippers]

“a more just and sustainable economic system not based on the profit motive or the exploitation of waged labor.”

Alex, I believe the question is “What is slavery?” (sort of a trick question, since there are no wages, and the motive is an insane, unquenchable thirst for power over other human beings)

“the capitalist mode of production has done a great deal to accelerate the development of technology and increase the availability of consumer goods in the last few centuries”

    ’nuff said

Because who is better qualified to create a sustainable economic system than Obama and the US Congress?

Actually pretty much anyone including my cousin Slappy who got his head slammed in a door and is now the Joe Biden of the family.

  4. zzyzx says:

Looks like 120 members of the Obama administration have already signed up.

  5. Harvey says:

@4 zzyzx – I just clicked the link. It’s up to 664 now.

Five hundred and some odd Rutgers students no doubt.

I hope there is some way to hunt those signatories down like dogs and send them off to some godforsaken desert island somewhere, lest the pathogen which destroyed their brains should spread.
Of course, I mean that in the nicest way possible.

I know there is a very strong desire to nuke the moon (it does deserve it!) but this little petition makes a very strong case for not doing so and instead forming an ultra-libertarian colony on the moon and leaving this rock.

  9. Amer-I-Can says:

@8. Chip – Or maybe….. form the colony on the moon and send all the “I don’t want to work hard but I want mine” loonies there to colonize.

Oh, wait….. that would involve them actually doing something besides putting their names on some stupid petition…. maybe even *gasp* work…..

I wonder if the site would be responsive to a petition to shut down the site and stop wasting our money.
