Why does your blogroll keep “moving?” It is in a different order every time I skim it in the ridiculous hope I would somehow be worthy of linkage already. Rachel Lucas at the top is the only one I am sure stays put.
My blogroll does not move, as is evidenced by that Rachel Lucas is always at top. You probably just forgot the position of other blogs on the list and thought they moved. If you keep thinking blogs are changing position on my blogroll, immediately check yourself in to the nearest psychiatric ward.

So far the Nuke the Moon T-Shirt can deflect bullets, make you knowledgeable of all things, ward off ninga attacks, spontaneously combust all things French, and make someone who is fat, appear less so, while a skinny person would presumably become invisible. Or at least less dimensional by one. All that begs the question; Is there anything The Shirt can’t do?
A Nuke the Moon t-shirt can not raise some one who has been dead for years (it only raises the recently dead), it can’t turn a Granny Smith apple into gold, it can’t destroy the sun, and it can’t allow you to see through more than 8″ of lead.
That’s all I know it can’t do so far.

Why did the US military switch side arm from the amazingly cool Colt 1911 .45 Auto to the wussy Beretta 9mm? The Beretta is a good gun, don’t get me wrong, its just that it uses small, crappy metric ammo…they could at least use the Beretta that fires .40, couldn’t they?
I think the problem was that our military became too “kick ass”, and some measures had to be taken to make wars more challenging thus to keep our troops’ interest. One such measure was a weaker sidearm that can barely kill a Commie at all, forcing one to instead use strangling or his or her KaBar. If I were in the military, I’d just bring my own .45, but that’s just me. Someone might protest, but, then you’d have a .45 when they only had a 9mm, and who is going to win that argument?

I have heard that the color white is the presence of all colors, and the color
black is the absence of color…but when all my crayons melted into a big
puddle when I accidentally left them out in the sun, they were a sort of brownish
purple…..why is that?
Great question. The accepted belief that white is the presence of all colors was just racist propaganda made by the KKK. If it were true, then, if you wore a white shirt and got anything on it such as grape juice, then the shirt should become more white because your adding more color to it thus making it even whitier. But we all know it ain’t true. White is the absence of color, which is why we draw on white pieces of paper and not black ones. The true color of all colors together is the brownish purple you saw, also known as “blurple”. All hail blurple.
Please keep the questions coming, <a href=”mailto:THISISSPAMTHISISSPAMace you’re from, I’ll randomly select one.

First, congratulations on your “blogiversary”!! You are a first-rate writer, for certain.
Regarding “blurple”: you may indeed be a man ahead of his time. See the summation of the article at this link–

If I read this anywhere near correctly, perhaps the final color of the universe will be “blurple”!
F. Palantir
Excellent blog mate. LOL and all that stuff.
One question if white is the absence of all colours, then what does that make black?
Blurple. When my sister got glasses for the first time, she got some glasses made by Disney (strangely enough) that were called “Blurple.” They were blue and purple.
And on the tenth day of my blog I (kinda) got linkage. And it was good.
Crazy might be fun…until they medicate me.
The Color Blurple is an annoying movie for reasons I won’t go into here, but suffice it to say it mostly has to do with Oprah. Nevertheless, it reminds me of a question I’ve been meaning to ask. What’s up with Danny Glover that he doesn’t like America anymore?
And now I see Rachel Lucas in linked in the blogroll three times. mwheh.
I just got my Nuke The Moon shirt in the mail today! I was watching the O’Reilly Factor, and Mr. Bill started spouting off about how HE is responsible for the American public not buying French goods. So I decided to put the shirt to the test. I put the shirt on for the rest of the segment, and sure enough, Mr. Bill stopped saying stupid things! Having proved the power of the shirt, I changed the channel.
Just think how smart O’Reilly would be if HE was wearing a Nuke The Moon T-Shirt.
Your blogroll definatly moves Frank… “It moves”- Gallileo
Ref; .45 ACP vs 9mm:
Any round has tradeoffs, but bigger is not necessarily better.
The .45 ACP was invented back in the late 1800s. It’s a big heavy round and has the ballestics of a thrown rock. You can only get 8 or 9 of them in the handle of a pistol without the mag sticking out the bottom of the gun. The ammo manufacturers won’t improve it because of all the old guns that would blow up if you put “+P” ammo in them. The .45 ACP is obsolete.
The 9mm is a better round. It was invented in the ’30s and there are some “+ P” loads available. You can knock the same stuff down with a 9mm that you can with the .45 ACP. You can also get 17 of them in the mag and you don’t have to hold 45 inches over the target at 100 feet.
The .45 ACP might destroy moose at 10 feet, but in the long run you use what does the job. There’s no need to be religious about a particular cartridge.
GTC
black = absorbs all light
white = all light bounces off
purple = some light that makes purple bounces off, rest absorbed
if you combine white and purple, the non-purple light gets absorbed and the purple light bounces off. the white doesn’t mess that up.
I like you, Jon Norman. 🙂
And Frank, I think I figured out why Susie keeps asking questions, etc…my hits increased by 50, or 200% yesterday. All hail the powerful Oz…er, Frank.
GTC: If the 9mm Parabellum was invented in the 1930’s, how come the Luger P08 was first issued in 9mm Parabellum?
From: http://www.lugerforum.com/history.html
“In an attempt to allay concerns about poor stopping power with such a small-caliber bullet, Georg Luger developed a second cartridge, the 9mm Parabellum. The 9mm Parabellum also goes by the names 9mm Luger and 9x19mm, and is distinct from a number of other cartridges that use the designation “9mm” in their names (such as 9mm short, 9mm Makarov, 9mm largo). The 9mm Parabellum cartridge cartridge case has the same base dimensions as the 7.65×23 Parabellum cartridge, but is not necked down, and is shorter, only 19mm long. A number of design changes to the Luger were made in the early 1900’s, including replacing the leaf mainspring with a coil spring, and deleting the grip safety. Some pistols were produced with a lug to attach a shoulder stock. The so-called “new model” Luger of 1904 in caliber 9mm Parabellum was accepted by the German navy and later the army and designated the P08. Thereafter, German military sales accounted for the vast majority of Lugers ever produced.”
PS: I happen to like both the .45ACP and the 9mmP…
And the .22LR and the .44Mag and the .303 British and the…
the .45 is a much better round than the 9mm .why do you think most all police departments in the U.S.are going with either the .40 or .45 calibers.
he makes a good point .the .45 gets my vote.bigger holes . no need of a hollow point, more accurate [perferred by target shooters handsdown]deeper penitration due to much heavier slug[21 inches in gelatin test.9mm can’t do any of this as well.if worse case scenario i would rather be shot by 9mm in the leg than a 45 slug.
wouldn’t want to get shot at all . but you get the point.
Actually, the US military switched to the 9mm round because females couldn’t handle the .45, which requires wrist strength to keep it in battery. In order not to hurt anyone’s feelings, the military switched to the gentler 9mm. The .45 is making a comeback in outfits that don’t have to worry about female members, like combat units.
THAT’S EXACTLY RIGHT EDWARD! I’M GLAD SOMEBODY IS TELLING THE TRUTH AROUND HERE INSTEAD OF BEING POLITICALLY CORRECT. THE GIRLS WORK IN THE OFFICE, ANYWAY, SO WHATA THEY NEED GUNS FOR?
Never having been a soldier, I can’t comment on battlefield experience of the .45 ACP vs the 9mm luger, but…If I were to be facing an armed adversary in close-quarters, I’d rather pack a shotgun over a 1911. Elegant, accurate and reliable though the 1911 may be, it’s susceptable to accidental discharges (single action, short trigger-travel) has a small ammo capacity (7-8rds.) and still isn’t as lethal at close range as a shotgun, nor accurate as the wonderful old M1. There isn’t any good AP .45ACP ammo avail., either. A far better pistol than either the Beretta or the Colt is the FN Five-seveN (AP rounds that are very destructive to flesh, like expanding rounds). The 1911 is like the M113–over the hill. At any rate, if you like the 1911 ’cause it looks cool (if the old Charger was a gun…), is customizable and accurate, and has a rich history, fine. But admit that both the 1911 (at least the std. gov’t. model) and ball .45ACP ammo is obsolete.
Cheers,
Adam
BTW: what’s with this metric-bashing? I feel sorry for kids in the U.S. that’ve gotta learn what ‘pecks’ & ‘slugs’ are!
In the end both rounds do the job and have been doing that job rather well I might add. The only problem I have with the .45ACP is that you can only 8-9 rounds. All weapons are just tools, it really comes down to who is using them.
Hey Edward,
Right on the money bro! It’s the same reason why we switched from the M14 to the M16. Because of weak females who can’t handle recoil.
International Link To IMAO Day
On the tenth day of my (old) blog, Frank J linked to me. And it was good….
first of all the 9mm was not invented in the 1930s it was made in the early 1900s. In fact it is older than the .45 acp cartridge. the 9mm has been found severly wanting in dropping both bad guys and soldiersin battle requiring multiple hits while the opposition in the meantime is shooting back.these are facts not emotional arguements.the .45 will with a center hit knock a man down with one or two shots.its much larger230 grains to the small 115- 147 grain bullets of 9mm.it is far more accurrate than the 9mm. that is a fact .police departments all over the country would not be dumping the 9mms if they were any good.
I have a Llama in 9mm Parabellum Gabilondo y Cia. Vitoria Espana. Can I safely shoot 9mm Luger cartriges in it? Also, where can I get an extra clip for it?
