Well, Yom Kippur begins at sundown tonight.
So to all of our Arab readers here at IMAO, don’t get any bright ideas. We’re not falling for that one again.
Oh, and is Albert Pujols Jewish? No? What about that Carpenter pitcher?
Crap. There goes Game One.

Ya know, the “Great Ramadan Offensive” could just as easily be the “Great Yom Kippur Can of Whoop-Ass.” I say this year, we should give the “religion of peace” a taste of its own medicine. Why not celebrate the day of repentance by killing a thousand terrorists or two?
Hey, didn’t you just have a holiday? Rosh something or other? That’s why people don’t like Jews so much, they get tons of days off for all sorts of religious holidays.
I’m outta here, tomorrow is the Feast of Maximum Occupancy.
Oh yeah, tons of businesses are closed on the Jewish holidays. Nice Simpsons reference, though I’m not sure if you were being cynical or not.
Simpsons reference?
Um…. I didn’t say “sax-o-mo-phone” anywhere.
Now I’m all confused.
I thought Yom Kippur was a Japanese naval officer.
PS – I can’t wait for Chanuka (and no, I don’t believe for a minute that it was named after an Eskimo). It’s a Jewish holiday where they celebrate the miracle of nobody, in a town full of Jews, being able to do a proper inventory of fuel oil.
Jim,
It is if you believe one of the “lost tribes” of Israelites settled in Japan (there are people who believe this). That would explain why Jews and Asians are good at math.
Laurence,
As a St. Louisan I suggest you use this Holy Day to atone for being an Astros fan…
Just kidding.
But seriously, I think I have some pull with God when it comes to baseball. Last year I made a deal with Him. I was willing to give up the series to Boston if he would let the President get reelected. It worked!
Take care and best wishes.
K
[Why not celebrate the day of repentance by killing a thousand terrorists or two?]
Sounds good to me. You could do it as a repentance for not meeting your quota the rest of the year.
