  1. The tired old chickenhawk argument ticks me off, because not only am I already a veteran, but have been trying to get back in the Army for over a year now, but I can’t seem to lose enough weight. I run, ride, do pushups, situps, chinups, and I eat less than I ever did, but grrrr! no dice. I’m the fittest fat dude in America! If nothing else I can’t totally kill anyone who calls me a chickenhawk.

  2. I know a guy who will, quite seriously, look you in the eye and tell you that bin Laden attacked the US only because Bush was President. No other reason, that’s it.
When you point out that the attacks were planned well before Bush was elected, and that most of the hijackers were in place several months before he was even the Republican candidate, he just shakes his head and says “I won’t accept that.”

  3. On a serious note, they will continue in the same vein until Hell freezes over. These same questions are continually asked by the Kos crowd, with their same deranged nonsense. You will notice that those of us who have actually served in combat do not ask these questions. Only those who unacquainted with the concepts of faith, honor, truth, loyalty and patriotism need to ask, the rest of us simply do.

  4. A suggestion to Kos…if you want to make the world a better place, take a lesson from Heaven’s Gate. Don’t wory, your parrents will find a RDDB lawer to claim it was from listening to Ozzy’s “Suicide Solution”. Is that a comet I see?

  5. I’m going to add my answers to the hundred some odd comments on that site, but I’ll save you having to give him hits.
    1) It’s our job.
    2) We want to finish the job.
    3) Not everyone can be in the military, and if they’re not, that doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to voice an opinion.
    4) Actually there is no 4, just bite my butt Kos. You’re not military either, but have no problem stating your opinion of what’s best for us.
Okay, I’m off my soapbox now.

  6. Well, either comments have been closed on that link, or I’m bloggily illiterate. Came across this cute snippet, though:
    “Jenna Bush
…..I couldn’t come up with a better name for a porn star if you paid me a million dollars.”
    Classy, huh?

  7. This is why we can’t reason with the left. While most liberals probably don’t agree with the following statement, they don’t even attempt to stifle this type of moronic thinking. Because the end (Bush bad) justifies the means.
    Afganistan isn’t justifable (0 / 0)
9-11 was an inside job. Why else is Osama NOT CAUGHT? Why was he seen meeting a CIA agent in 2001 Dubai hospital? Why didn’t anyone lose jobs after the attack?

  8. You know, another huge difference between us IMAOers and the KosKiddies is that when they call us neo-cons, neanderthals, Bush=Hitler, etc, we can laugh and take a joke. But, call one of them Anti-Semitic, or a baby-killing Nazi, and oh my gosh, there is a stampede to the KosKommieKidzKoolAid fountain!!

  9. I had always thought that “fighting with the possibility of dying” is in the job description when you sign up for the military. That’s what the Navy told me, anyways. In this case, that renders Kos’ first two questions completely moot.
As for 3, uh, not everyone has the same goals. Some people’s goals involve going to distant lands to fight a threat that is better fought far away from home, and others want to go to school, read, write, and not get yelled at for 6 weeks by a drill sargeant.

  10. I’ll try not to be mad at FrankJ for making me visit Kos (ick) … yes, they’re quite upset over there. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they don’t even understand why Clinton was impeached.
One hears so much about the sorry state of education in America. And parenting. And morality.
I see the old “Republicans are just stupid” paraded out again. That sounds so comforting. I think I’ll adapt the stance that everybody who disagrees with me is just stupid. Aaahhhh, now I don’t have to defend my positions anymore! Much better.
Luckily, the KosKids are a pitifully small minority. Um, aren’t they????

Red vs Blue on our map proves this, thank goodness. Unfortunately, I’m surrounded by a fair amount of blue. Thank you for the Chomps shirts, thank you thank you.

  12. Daily Kos is blog for Preschool. I think it’s time to get Nanny Joe ( from Super Nanny) on speed dial for them. I’ve seen and heard better behavior on commercials for the Jerry Springer.
The only other observation I have is: I wonder how they treat the people they interact with in the REAL world. Makes me grateful I’m not their mother.
Of course if I was, there would be a case of Ivory soap with their names on it. (It’s the best for washing out filthy mouths)
*** those who use the F bomb as punctuation cause me to think ” Those who can do, those who can’t have to talk about it all the time.

  13. What always gets me is how they talk about how education is so bad. Aren’t our schools, by majority run by liberals? Taught by liberals? Unionized by liberals? Etc?
But I bet you can’t learn much if your math teacher is telling you that you’re not being educated because of evil republicans.
Teacher: “… because Bush is evil”
    Student1: sleeping
    Student2: thinking about lunch
Student3: “Can you teach some math?”
    Teacher: “Our school is underfunded”
    Student3: “Couldn’t you just teach?”
Teacher: “Phhht… I have no materials”
Student3: “What about that chalkboard behind you?”
    Teacher: HISS “I HAVE TENURE!”

  14. I was going to visit the Kos site, but the last time (and the only time) I did that, it reminded me of being a pro-life proponent in a liberalistic second chance high school. There’s no point in trying to voice your convictions when the hive mentality churns out cliche sound bytes to drown out any induvidual stances against their views.
Besides, who wants to be a troll in their domains? Most of us know that you can’t just teach moral responsibility; it has to nurtured from early on & many liberals apparantly don’t have the benefit of having at least one parent or guardian who has a clue about real life decisions.
